Americans retained the fractious balance of power in re-electing President Barack Obama, a Republican House and a Democratic Senate, altogether serving as guarantors of the gridlock that voters say they despise. Slender percentages separated winner and loser from battleground to battleground, and people in exit polls said yea and nay in roughly equal measure to some of the big issues of the day.

That would be our education system at fault. The same people who gave us the housing market crash. Half the country can’t do simple math.

About 20 years ago, I recall a black guy — don’t remember whether he was a politician or activist — being interviewed by a network news program.
He said ‘we will become a nation where 1/2 of the people work and make good money, while the other 1/2 live on governmental assistance [provided by the taxes the working 1/2 pay].’
Two decades later, it appears his statement was prophetic and correct.
Of course, the Libs/Progressives/Leftists have been working toward this scenario for decades.
