Another point of view that maybe the answer. (Vanity)

Posted on 11/08/2012 8:12:27 AM PST by MeOnTheBeach

Some time ago I heard a quote from an African-American, who's name I can't recall, but I remember them saying "My biggest fear of the first black man being elected President is that he might fail."

I believe this election was not a rejection of conservatism or the Republican message. It was an emotional investment in the first black man in the White House.

The minorities in the US projected a rejection of Barack Obama as a rejection of themselves and of their race. No matter how badly Barack Obama has failed they cannot emotionally let the first black president be seen as failing. So they voted for him, no matter what.

As an example I can point at many such cases. Marion Berry the African-American mayor of DC, who was arrested and spent 6 months in federal prison for being video taped smoking crack cocaine. He was then elected to the D.C. city council.

Mitt Romney ran a great campaign. He had great message. He looks great and he is the man for our time. But there was no way anyone could have over come the emotional trauma for many whites and minorities in the US of seeing the first black President denounced as a failure.

Yes. I think it's just that simple.

So why did 7 million fewer Whites vote than in 2008?

That is a part of what happened, certainly.
I still strongly suspect organized widespread voting machine tampering.
I heard a lot of stories of Romney votes switched to Zero while people voted.
Holder et al, made sure that the 2010 election was not repeated, by controlling the outcome by altering vote machine totals. Their pals in the media dutifully ignore vote fraud and announce their guy won.

Look at the crowds Romney drew. The paltry turnout for Zero at campaign stops.

This election was stolen by the theives in The White House.

Coming soon....Hussein wins 100 percent of the vote! Woo hoo. not.

“It was an emotional investment in the first black man in the White House.”
Nail on head for at least part of the answer.
But it says a lot about us as a nation.
Fickle, emotional, distractable.
Are we capable of governing anymore?

That is the question that almost none of the “experts” is asking. Those people didn’t vote for Obama. They stayed home. Why they did is the single most important question the Republican party faces.

Voter fraud.

I don’t believe it for a minute.

Electronic voting can be tampered with and votes can be *lost*.

This election was too controversial and there was too much at stake.

Did you see the size of the crowds coming to obama and Romney rallies?

And obama won?

No. I don’t believe it.

Just curious. Does anyone know how many nations have black leaders that have not become worse off either economically or escalated into wars and some type of genocide?

“So why did 7 million fewer Whites vote than in 2008?”

Well, I think it was a racist reaction. Any thinking adult knows the Democratic party is actually the worst thing for blacks. It has caused the split up of the family unit, increased abortion of black babies, schools and teachers don’t teach and barely babysit. If you hate blacks, and jews, the worst thing you can do for them is give them what they want...Obama. A smart white person can survive and prosper no matter what enviorment they are in.

White Americans will be better off than Black and Brown “Americans” four years from now.

Flame away, but it is the truth. If anyone cares about the truth anymore.

Yep. It’s just a second term for the first affirmative action president.

“Those people didn’t vote for Obama. They stayed home. Why ..”

Because Romney is a liberal and many conservatives wont vote for a liberal under any circumstances. Also look at the vote totals more closely, many like me, just did not vote for the top of the ticket..here in Montana I figure at least 15000 conservatives refused to vote for Romney.

Well... I love the saying, “it is what it is.”

No smoke and mirrors...what are we looking at exactly.

So with that in mind; Mitt had some baggage. A lot of people couldn’t or wouldn’t see any difference between Obama and Mitt. They didn’t see the point in voting. For what ever reason...be it religious or white guilt or whatever... they sat it out.

Catholics baffle me over this though...

Agreed. There was rampant fraud. What do we do about it?

So, a group of individuals with the resources to control the outcome of an election, did so and catapulted their selected leader into the highest office in the land...all the while taking control of the main broadcast and publishing media to ensure they would do their bidding?

That's called a coup. We have been invaded. Subjugation will follow. And no one on the opposing side can or will do a damned thing about it.

Ok, I’m going to flame myself for not using strong enough language.

He was seen as too liberal.

Mitt created RomneyCare because he knew he could make it work. Unfortunately he didn’t think of the bigger picture of Socialism. And that hung around his neck like a noose.

No doubt many people voted for him for that simple reason. However, 90-plus percent of the black vote goes to the Democrat in every national election. If Obama had been a Republican running against a white Democrat, personally I’m convinced that 90-plus percent of the black vote would’ve gone to the white Democrat.

You’re absolutely right. I’ve spoken to probably dozens of black people, trying to point out to them that blacks have done worse under Obama both absolutely and relatively than they’ve done under any other President in memory, but it went in one ear and out the other. Obama must be seen as a success, or blacks as a race will be tarnished. The irony is that there are now four more years where he’ll be held responsible for what happens, and if things get even worse (and I wouldn’t be surprised if they do), he’ll be seen as a much bigger failure than if he’d just lost an election. Most likely, however, no matter how bad things get, you’ll see Obama enjoying a base of nearly-unanimous approval from blacks.

I don't have a clue.

If those who lost the election won't do anything about it, and IMO, they are the only ones with the power TO do something, I have not a clue what the rest of us peons can do.

IMO, they are the ones responsible for where this country is because they know of the voter fraud and won't fight against it when they can.

“Because Romney is a liberal ...”

I can’t come up with anything else to explain it. It didn’t help that he’s a Mormon. I had to overcome that. The bottom line is that he didn’t offer a compelling (conservative or otherwise) vision for the country. Newt did, Ron Paul did, Gary Johnson did. Obama, as the incumbent, didn’t have to.

Yes, that is a large part of what happened. Look at the exit polls. The voters for Obama gave emotional answers or answers that showed a false sense of reality.

When the voters voted for Obama because of “Sandy”, or because of the made up “war on women”, Rush nailed it when he said that that Obama was after the “moron” vote. To say it with nicer words “low information voters”. It worked. These are the voters that are particularly vulnerable to the MSM’s propaganda.

It’s the difference between 88%(Kerry) and 96% (Obama). That’s actually significant, but not determinative. It’s enough to create more of a gender gap than there really is.
