We need a support group for this post-election period. I'm feeling a cross between a bad dream and like someone died....

I don’t really care what’s good for the GOP.

I’m with you on that. I’m done with politics. I don’t think Republicans or any other possible new party will ever be able to turn off the Democrats and their grab for every possible vote under the sun. Too many people eager to grab handouts and get freebies. No way to ever combat that, so “hunker in the bunker” is now my attitude. Get supplies, stay focused on my small community, keep going to church, family-only priorities, and let the world explode/implode around me. Call it what you will, but for my family’s sake I can’t handle the political junk any more. It is what it is, and it will be what it will be. My realistic/pessimistic side has taken over and will be in place now for a long, long time.

I’m trying to enjoy simpler things these days, and getting back into my hobbies. That may sound really ditzy, but at least it’s very calming! :)

Try to have a nice day...

Come to Kansas. Really. It’s a fine place, so please take a look. We’re on the right track.

"I’m upset, too, but I’m not going to be like one of those weepy Democrats in 2004 that became so deranged over Bush’s victory that they flooded mental health wards.

Conservatives are, by definition, a strong, self-reliant, resilient bunch. We’ll get through this and so will you."

Needs to be repeated often. I spent Tuesday night and Wednesday morning in a stunned state. I'll admit I felt betrayed by the idiots in my country. I still do. But by Wednesday afternoon, I was getting angry again.

No more self pity...that feels defeatist to me. The marxist got re-elected. That sucks. Put on your big boy pants and get back to doing whatever you do. If you want to feel emotions feel determination and anger.

Conservatives ARE the support group. They support everybody else and are tired of it. Maybe what is needed for Conservatives is a way to become the NONsupport Group and let everyone else be surprised when the money dries up, let them hold hands and cry together. They take from you AND they detest you, like an ungrateful insolent teen ager.

Obama cannot get re-elected again...: )

But he's going to preside over the continuing expansion of the welfare state and lay the groundwork for the next Democrat President to "finish the job I've started". And, just like Clinton, we'll see him on the campaign trail Forever!!!

thanks, but gotta go where my husband’s job is, so we get to stay here in the heart of Dixie for a lot longer. That’s ok, tho’ cuz there are really good people around here, both of our families are within 1 day’s drive, and it’s the Bible Belt. Loved driving thru Kansas when we came across country—the folks we met at every stop were always so nice!

So sad that the coastline populations drive the political bus. They depend on the good folks in the interior part of the country (they mock us by calling us dumb rednecks, or in Kansas’s case, “flyover country”) but we have been the hard rock foundation for this country. They are on sandy soil, and nothing can stand on that for long...

"Look at who is up for re-election in the Senate in 2014." I posted a similar thought on another site this morning. In retrospect, we should have focused on the Senate this time. If we had gotten a majority and ousted Harry Evil Reid, then we could impeach Obama. The House starts impeachment proceedings, then the Senate finishes. The Evil one would block every effort in this regard. BUT, 2014 is just two years away. Let us all start NOW working on electing conservatives to replace all Senators up for re-election. I don't know how many there are, but I am going to check right now.

>Who do we want to nominate in 2016? We should coalesce soon around one conservative so we don’t get this mess again.<

Doesn't matter. There will never be another Republican president -- not with this electorate.....

We need a conservative who has a plan to address the screw that globalism is to Americans and about ending the police state/KGB Bammy and the Rinos have built in the aftermath of 911.

We need to talk about the ever building and hardening police state war on drugs and it’s abuse of innocent citizens.

“Obama cannot get re-elected again...: “

We’ll see about that. I’m sure that “problem” is being worked on at the White Hut even as we speak.

I was in shock until this morning. Paralyzed. Grief striken. Wanted to cry, but couldn’t. Then something weird happened. I was cutting onions for soup and the onions made me cry. Immediately, on the BBN radio network, two songs played — “No More Night” and “Finally Home”. They’re both beautiful, about Heaven, and then the onion crying turned into the other kind. The songs put the whole election thing into perspective. Had a good cry. Now I feel better. Moving on. Ignoring Democrats and Republicans. I feel better since I gave up hope.
