He's just taunting Obama. But remember the tiger in San Francisco ~ she didn't care ~ a dumb beast usually doesn't understand taunting ~ they do understand "hamburgers at dumpster" and "git oud the way".

That's Obama for you ~ a dumb beast driven by his appetites and raw instincts.

Boehner should simply tell him ~ "wagu beef this way" followed by "sign this".

If Boehner stays on as Speaker we will probably lose the House in 2014

“We’re ready to be led. Not as Democrats or Republicans, but as Americans.”

Thereby tacitly admitting they were a stumbling block in the past. What an a hole. PLEASE get this guy out of there. The speaker does not have to be a current member. Put Newt in that roll, at least he can articulate a position that does not stab himself in the back. What a joke this guy is.

‘Compromise’ to obama is doing whatever he wants you to do or he and his lap-dog media will pitch a fit and cry “I won, boo-hoo, hoo.”

TWO problems with Obama “leadership:”

1. He doesn’t know HOW to lead.
2. He doesn’t want to.

Skippy is incapable of leadership. This should be obvious to anyone who has even halfway paid attention during the last four years. Even Boner.

Where Skippy is headed, I ain’t goin’, anyway.

That is Boehner’s point. Boehner is putting the ball firmly over home plate. We have sequestration,ie. tax increases and budget cuts that happen automatically, and Boehner is saying your elected, do your job. Boehner needs to make sure that the truth is delivered to the public about Obama, I doubt this will happen because of the press but if the truth comes out Obumbler will look like the moron he is!

Someone should define “compromise” in clear and succinct terms to John Boehner. That, in this instance, DEMOCRATS must make the move, before the Republican majority in the House makes the slightest stir.

Whatcha got, Bronco Bama? I mean, besides raising tax rates on the top bracket of taxpayers? Because if NOTHING is done, the top tax rate is going to INCREASE beginning in January, and you shall have what you want.

Of course, the tax rates on everybody else will go up sharply as well, especially for those in the lowest bracket. Take it or leave it, that is what is carved in stone now.

Game of chicken going on as we watch. Bronco Bama can bring Simpson-Bowles to the table, as the very minimum to begin negotiations, or he just as well should stay in the White Hut.

There was a scene in “Rebel Without a Cause”, where the James Dean character, Jim Stark, gets into a “chicken race” with another youngster in stolen vehicles, and the race is to see which bails out last as the edge of the quarry pit is approached. Young Stark rolls out of the door of his vehicle just a few yards before the edge, chuckling on the ground, and both cars plunge over.

The other young fellow got his sleeve caught in the door handle of his car as he tried to open the door, and unable to jump clear, he went over the edge.

So I suppose, in the code of this sort of challenge, he was the winner.

But you have to be a sociopath to subscribe to that code.

Do not underestimate the stupidity of the American voter. The Democrats plan to use this fiscal crisis to destroy the Republicans. (’Never let a good crisis go to waste.’ -Rahm) The current conditions are completely due to the President’s bad policies, yet the ‘progressives’ have successfully blamed the opposition for their failures. Let the Republicans go along, but it is up to US to succeed.

I am not only NOT ready to be led, I question the entire idea that in the modern era we need leaders. I pose the idea that we may now be in a post-leadership time of history given the amount of information and communication available to nearly everyone and the ability to form groups with influence. Often we out here seem to know so much more than the so-called leaders, who also miserably fail to lead and mostly vote “present” to get them through the next election. Remember how people used to say “it’s the 90’s” to mock anybody not on board with the Clinton way? Well, I say, it’s the 21st Century....you leader types get over yourselves and go away. We can handle this. Post leadership era...we are here.

Of course the media is the problem. Obama will announce a grand compromise where he cuts $1 in spending twenty years out and raises taxes by a trillion dollars. The media will hail it as a magnificent gesture.

The republicans will counter with a proposal that cuts $2 in spending ten years out. Obama and the media will decry the “draconian” cuts that hurt middle class Americans. Nothing will actually happen.

The most important part, not much noted, will be that the debt ceiling will be raised for a long time so that the R’s give up all leverage for the next four years.

I’m OK with sequestration. Take a hatchet to the government. Sequestration is a hatchet. The defense cuts will be painful. But that’s life. On the other hand, the non-discretionary cuts will make it almost impossible to operate a bunch of federal agencies. Noone will notice except the rent seekers and the folks who who don’t have regulations issued because there’s noone to issue them. It will cripple the administrative state. So there’s an upside. We don’t really have a choice. Spending has to be cut. It would be better to cut it in a way where Zero gets no credit. A grand compromise will have Zero preening about budget cuts that he was forced to make—just like Bill Clinton. And, it will have a less negative effect on the operation of the federal government.
