First Lesbian Goes to U.S. Senate in 'Historic' Election Night for LGBTs ((USA's Descent)
CNS News ^ | November 7, 2012 | Pete Winn

(Senator-elect Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) on election night.)

(CNSNews.com) – Voters in Wisconsin sent Rep. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) to the U.S. Senate on Tuesday– making her the first open lesbian to be elected to the upper chamber.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered (LGBT) activists say the victory was the "crown jewel" in a night of victories that voters handed homosexuals.

“Tonight we have won a huge victory for Wisconsin’s middle class,” Baldwin told supporters in Madison, declaring victory. “The people's voice was heard tonight, Wisconsin, and come January, your voice will be heard in the United States Senate.”

Baldwin was the first openly homosexual candidate to win election to the U.S. Congress, when voters sent her to the House in 1998. The seven-term congresswoman will replace retiring liberal Sen. Herb Kohl (D-Wis.)

She defeated former Republican Gov. Tommy Thompson, who served as secretary of Health and Human Services for President George W. Bush, in a race which saw in excess of $30 million from outside groups being dumped into the Badger State.

LGBT groups crowed about the victory – which came at the same time voters in Maine and Maryland approved initiatives in favor of same-sex marriage – and voters in Minnesota voted down an effort to define marriage as a relationship between one man and one woman.

“Tonight, we achieved historic victories in the fight for LGBT equality,” HRC President Chad Griffin said Tuesday night.

“We secured our first-ever electoral victories for marriage in Maine, Maryland, and Minnesota; Tammy Baldwin is headed to the U.S. Senate; and President Obama securing a second term. We can take time to celebrate these victories, but tomorrow we have to get right back to the work of telling our stories, changing hearts and minds, and improving conditions for every single LGBT American.”

Chuck Wolfe, president of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund said Tuesday will “go down in history.”

“Tonight Tammy shattered a glass ceiling that has existed for more than two centuries, and we could not be more thrilled,” Wolfe said.

Meanwhile, Wisconsin state Rep Mark Pocan, who is also an open homosexual, will replace Baldwin in the U.S House, and former Clinton White House staffer Sean Maloney -- an openly homosexual man -- beat Republican Rep. Nan Hayworth (R-N.Y.) to represent New York’s 18th congressional district.

the country is toast.

Homosexuals are defeind because of they have their sex, their sexual ways bring nothing to the country, hell they can;t even re-produce. and it is a big more than being same sex attraction which is how you stated it and certainly the nicest way one can say it.

The poster also mentioned that we need people with knowldge and be informed but I guess you missed that part

He just expressed his opinion. What’s the matter? You can’t express your opinion with resorting to name calling?

The sturm undt drang and the great gnashing of teeth over homosexuals and lesbians and transgendered people and people who bat for both teams and people who do nothing all day but think about their peckers or their clams and the great wrongs that have been done to them because they "don't fit in" with the rest of society is tremendously overblown.

Take a page from Alinsky, my friend, and employ ridicule, not accusations of evil, to combat the threat.

Quite frankly, we look like a bunch of pansies ourselves if we get into such a lather over homos and lesbos. Really - that's going to set off the ticking time bomb? A bunch of willowy dudes who like wearing fairy princess costumes and a bunch of husky broads who like flannel and Subarus? Our great nation can't withstand a "threat" from the limp-wristed crowd?

While I find homosexuals vile, I think the poster was making a comment on not only the homosexuals themselves, but their disturbing supporters. Frankly, when this many people find nothing wrong with the disgusting homosexuals, then we have a real problem. It was not that long ago that EVEN Democrats hated homosexuals.

And people like you are the reason we lost the election with your hateful nutball talk.

Sure, we need to run candidates farther to the left /sarc

While I don’t agree with his “evil” comment, the rest of his post was correct.
Sorry if that offends you

Oh, go eff yourself, Mr. Science.

Do you call yourself a "bright" like the rest of the atheist morons? Here's a clue: you have a religion just as irrational, dogmatic, and full of shibboleth and superstition as any other.

“......there is nothing normal in how they have sex and if people actually thought on how they have sex and then parade around with pride and flags then they might wake up”

According to your posts, you seem to think about it a lot!! Wow!!

I do not have a problem with homosexuals and have never been in a “lather over them” . The problem is when they DEMAND that we accept their lifestyle and DEMAND that it be taught tour children as being a normal, alternate lifestyle.

Homosexuals want validation from normal people concerning deviant behavior why should that be acceptable to us?

This is the problem.

I don't know how many people I've talked to who say they would actually listen to conservative ideas, especially when it comes to fiscal policy, but they just can't stomach all the hate queers talk. And not that they themselves love the gays, or even care two sh*ts about them. And I'm talking about people here where I live in Massachusetts, the bluest of the blue states.

You're not winning any converts with your message of hate and vile and disgusting. And when you fail to win converts, pieces of sh*t like Barack Hussein Obama get re-elected to the presidency.

DUH yes I do and you should, we are dealing with a bunch of people who wish to impose their sexual perverted life into people and maybe if people did think about what is going on instead of being ignorant then we’d have a better country and a more informed country for once.

How about you thinking what we are against unless you are for it, how about you informing others to help get this country back to how it used to be or shall we just put up with them shoving their agenda on us and just saying “well I know a couple and they are nice I have no problem if they are married”

\don;t think is what the left wants

I'm right there with you: I have a major problem when someone demands a personal validation from me. We cannot deny them their seat at the table, however. Other than that, they should be treated no differently than any other American citizen: they have no fewer or no more rights than any one of us. And their "advocacy" should be no different than the advocacy of any other advocacy group. When they get ridiculous, we hoot them down with ridicule. Alinsky can teach us a lesson here.

Do you really think people haven’t already considered at some point what gay sex involves? They have and they still don’t care. You’re not going to convert the masses by giving them gay sex images to think about. These people frame their argument around equality, not sex acts.

The march to continual cultural decline just quickened a step. The tipping point was hit with this election. There is not going back until total devastation has been accomplished.

the kids do not trust me.

As for equality, what equality could they use, they have the same rights as us, they can marry the opposite sex just liek us and we can;t marry the same sex like them.

If you do not point out the real facts of where a coln or prostate is and the unnatural acts then people today are plainly ignorant, they cannot thiik for themselves, Many Americans need to be led and that is the sad fact today.

I’ll give you an example.
I was talking to a guy who said he had no problem with the homosexual parades and agenda.
i put those pictures into his head and guess what?
Yes he now stands firmly against homosexuality, he said he had never thought of it like that and when he actually thought about what they do to each other or where that hand has just been after a handshake then he made him feel sick.

The plain truth is out there, it just needs to be told.

About love and equality is a cop out and that is easy to put away with facts

I hear you loud and clear on that one brother. Wish we would stop bending over backward (not a pun) for these misfits. Some people may be homicidal maniacs but that does not mean have to accept that because they are “that way”. Society does not so why does one need to accept completely unnatural acts?

My wife did not know Baldwin was a lesbian until a few days before the election when I informed her of that fact. She was stunned. She asked me why she hadn’t heard that before. I told her I thought she knew that info, but she didn’t. She wasn’t going to vote for her anyway, but she was genuinely surprised to find out Baldwin was a homosexual. Of course Baldwin was never going to mention it, and Tommy didn’t either. So I imagine there are thousands of Wisconsinites now discovering that Tammy is a radical-leftist lesbian. I’m sure most of them don’t care, but I’ll bet a lot of them feel like they’ve been conned.

They already know the facts - including the fact that plenty of hetero people engage in anal sex too. Straight people do just as many “freaky” things as gays I’m sure. By the way, lots of sex is gross - old people, fat people, etc. Whether its “natural” or not is relative to most.
Anyway, I’m finished. Adios.
