On the radio this morning, I heard Boehner say to Obama in a public address: "We want you to succeed." You know who Boehner's trying to contrast himself with, dont you? I knew you did.

I agree Boehner needs some competition and hopefully will be replaced. I don’t think Ryan is the right guy though, he’s not experienced enough nor does he have the connections. Plus it would likely hurt him if he were to run as Pres or VP in the future.

Your instincts are not lying to you. Obama will never cease to destroy our economic and fiscal base. This is Boehner’s way of giving Obama enough rope to hang himself. The masses that voted Obama back in were voting for the winner of American Idol. They are ignorant to the severity of our situation and don’t get involved. This is the lesson and contrast of the 2010 midterm election and now.

If Boehner can hold the line, fine. If he has another Lame Duck debacle like 2010, then out with him and in with Paul Ryan as Speaker.

Like it or not, Obama just won re-election. If Boehner wants the Republicans to maintain control of the House come 2014 he has to sound concilatory. Otherwise he risks looking mean and spiteful. We need to hand over ownership of this terrible economy to the Dems. Do we really want to be blamed for going over the fiscal cliff?

Total bovine scatology. After the marxist muslim American-hating faggot illegal alien's 2008 election and the Rats concurrent win of the senate. The Communist party was in control of the executive, senate and house.

Millions marched on Washinton, D.C. to protest the take over of private companies, the theft of trillions of dollars, the takeover of 1/6 of the economy--free market health care turned into 3rd world socialized death care, etc, etc. This wasn't just bluster, because in 2010, real Americans came out in such numbers to kick the communists out of office and send a message to the neo-stalinists to blow it out your asses.

The voters gave the "Repubikicans" a mandate......."FIGHT G DAMN YOU!!!" Instead, Boner played with himself and appeased Obama. Cried and drank and probably played with Obama This is the main reason Repubican voters were not that enthusiastic this election. They watched closely as the checked-pant golf-shoed clad pussies caved to anything the Muslim wanted. Farking sickening.

I’m willing to give Boehner the benefit of the doubt and let him play this hand. We’ll know, shortly, whether this is a chess move or a sell out - then we act. I think we are better served by a different Speaker, maybe Ryan.

Boehner’s statements are just boiler plate. He, as all speakers of the house, have a list of things written up to say.

Just fluff. Doesn’t mean doodly-squat.

Had Boehner stood up and said somthing to the tune of - of course we have no plan to work with the president, the media would have skewered him over the coals. It would have been the hill we die on!

Meanwhile - Ried said the exact same thing a day earlier. Repercussion = 0.

Dude calm down. What exactly did you expect Boehner to say? I am no big fan, trust me, but it is self defeating to go out there and thump your chest when you just got your a$$ kicked.

Exactly what would you have recommended Boehner do? Refuse to congratulate the President on his win? Jump up and down and threaten to take the country off the cliff? Issue a press release to the American people emphasizing that they just re-elected a Marxist?

Acting childish in front of the American people would hurt Boehner, but more importantly it owuld hurt the entire Conservative movement. We will win elections when we can articulate our Conservative values and why they are superior to the garbage peddled by the left.

I think we are better served by a different Speaker, maybe Ryan. Agreed. Boehner is too entrenched in Beltway think for my perspective (not too mention everytime I turn around he is crying again). My only point is that his congratulatory statements are almost mandatory, unless you are setting up to get your party kicked out of office in 2014 that is.

I suspect that there will be compromises made and I will be quite disgusted as a result. In reality, however, we are going to need to give some ground in order to win in 2014 and 2016. Otherwise, we will be branded obstructionists and the Dems will hang any failures around our neck!!

He’s basically the only thing standing between us and Obama/Reid and the UN. You want him to sit down and shut up?

I agree.

Isn't the ignorance here amazing sometimes?

The very second any replacement shows one iota of a fault he/she would be thrown under the bus just as Boehner now is.

Boner: "We hope you succeed."

Rush: "I hope he fails."

I stand with with Rush.

We have a winner!
