Now that the 2012 presidential election is over and Barack Obama has been safely reelected, the journalists at ABC's Good Morning America woke up to the fact that the President has "refused" to provide details the terrorist attack in Libya and that the administration "didn't want to talk about it." [See video below. MP3 audio here.]

Fill-in host Elizabeth Vargas blithely announced, "In the meantime, the Libya issue has been overhanging this election. Allegations of a, quote, massive cover-up, by Senator John McCain about this administration's, really, refusal to really put to rest this issue before voting day." Martha Raddatz, who moderated the vice presidential debate, agreed, saying, "They didn't want to talk about it. Everybody tried to pin them down on that. They did not want to talk about it." "Everybody" tried to pin them down on Libya?

There’s another story on this forum about a large amount of military votes were delivered late and not counted—large enough to have swung the victory to Rommey.

I see parallels to the Nixon second term. Remember he won reelction by a landslide, then the Watergate hearings started. Nixon’s downfall, in MHO, was too much delegation to trusted subordinates, Halderman and Elrichman, and his own personal demons. There are a number of candidates in the Obama administration, Valerie, Holder, the Godfather,

During the Nixon administration there was massive inflation, over 9% if memory serves me, high gas prices (high for 1975), a lingering war, an corrupt and distant VP, Agnew who at least resigned when news of his failures to file and pay taxes. (Are you listening E. Holder?)

It took the Saturday night massacre to for all of the American public to realize the mess in the WH.

I worked for the Treasury Dept then and know that vouchers for gasoline were ready to be distributed and the IRS was tasked to monitor the transactions. Another department was established, IRS agents transferred and in many cases given promotions to oversee the operation. Of course, when the plan was scrapped the promotions weren’t rescinded. Oh no, we can’t do that!

Nixon, like O, had his demons. He wanted to be a Kennedy—rich, goodlooking, urbane. Like the eminent philospher, Popeye said, “I yam what I yam and that’s all that I yam!”

Time will tell~

>> Some sort of “impeachment insurance” begins.

> The “impeachment insurance” is Joe Biden!!!...Duh!

At this point a joker may be better than a toker.
