Business Owners Readying for Obamacare (Prices increasing, worker's hours being reduced)
fox news ^ | 11/7/2012 | By Kate Rogers

One layer of uncertainty was removed for small-business owners Tuesday, when President Obama was reelected to a second term. While issues like the fiscal cliff and potential new regulations are still unresolved, the small-business community now knows the Affordable Care Act will stand, and tax increases for those making above $250,000 annually are likely.

Upon hearing the election results, Craig Dunaway called a meeting of his 75 franchisees to assure them as best he could about what their future holds. Cincinnati, Ohio-based Dunaway is the president of Penn Station East Coast Subs and the owner of 14 Penn Station restaurants. In total, he has 250 locations in 13 states. “I wanted to bring everyone together to talk about what we can do, and make sure we are beacons of light for our franchisees,” he said. “No one can change the results of the election.”

,,,,

“It’s those hidden unknowns that can cost them thousands of dollars,” he said. “To recoup those costs they may raise their prices or cut hours.”

Since the cheating Labor Dept. now counts 34 hr/wk as “full employment,” they’ll probably be moving that number down to 30/wk now. If we had real numbers of unemployed or part time employed, it would be close to 16% unemployed/underemployed.

What about big business like grocery pharmacies? They hire pharmacists at full time or on call.

We will be like France soon. Everyone has 2-3 jobs.

Of course by then we will likely be in economic freefall with failed banks and a worthless dollar.

The Affordable Care Act considers full-time to be 30 hours a week. I expect a lot of small businesses will only be hiring part-time employees from here on out, just so they don’t have to pay for the insurance.

I was in a corporate meeting today here in Oklahoma City (energy services/oil & gas) and one of our vendors was giving a presentation this morning. He was explaining the plans his company had for expansion. The owner of the company had already purchased some land in Knoxville Tennessee with the intent to build a new production facility that would be larger and centralize their current opperations of engineering and manufacturing into one location. As we were all returning from lunch together, he got off of the phone with the owner of his company and announced to all of us “Scratch that part of my presentation about a new facility, the owner has decided to hold off as of today due to the election.” He went on to explain that the owner felt that with the probable increase in tax rates as well as Obamacare being a sure thing, it wasn’t financially smart at this time. We all understood where he was coming from.

Amazing story. We are going to hear more and more. Our only real hope of recovering from this electorate shift is that things get so bad over the next three years that Obama finally gets the blame for this, and we select a highly skilled candidate who can win some of these people back to sanity.

These people are going to be shocked when they have to buy their own insurance or pay a fine.

Already there. In obamacare terms 30 hrs/wk is considered full-time. That's why employees will see their hours cut to 28 or so a week.

We'll actually see unemployment tick down a bit as businesses hire-on more part time workers. The MSM and hussein will crow loud and long about this. But the dirty little secret is that even more people will be struggling on lower incomes. This suits hussein, because these people will have to turn to obamacare and the government option. Kind of like running the company store in a company town back in the day. Organized crime has nuthin' on these guys.

Sounds logical. My daughter was pulled to a “float” position. She has a doctor of pharmacy degree. Her patient clients are not happy.

I think that explains why Obama's margin among 18-29 year-olds was much smaller than it was in 2008.

Imagine being forced to buy your own medical insurance or pay a $2,000 fine ... while you spend your days camped out at an Occupy Wall Street protest. These kids may be naive, but they aren't stupid.

These part time workers are going to be unreliable and largely unproductive. These workers will go from job to job, in and out of employment. As long as there s a cushy welfare state as safety net, the work ethic will suck.

At the checkout line at small stores, asked to speak with the manager. Ask in a stone faced manner which person he or she supported for President, as you are "just kind of informally interested how the community went and are asking around." Then either--the moment the world "Obama" leaves their lips, a) leave your purchased items right then and there at counter and walk out without a word, or b) for the more timid by the goods, but NEVER EVER SHOP THERE AGAIN, maybe even writing them such a letter later.

Let's at the grassroots give these disgusting people in Blue America something to really scream over. If they want a civil war, this is one way to start it. Boycott them. They have tried to ruin our country, they must see and feel that there are real reprecussions on the local level.
