you're a fool. the CA GOP tried to do what you advocate and are irrelevant, the state now has Dem supermajorities and no GOP statewide office holders. your path would produce the same result at the national level.

we've not reached out. the attitude from you and others is people should just find conservatism and the Republican party isn't what the Dems and their ethnic/language media say they are on their own. that's lazy.

You don’t know what you are talking about.

Since Reagan, the GOP has done nothing but ‘reach out’ and try to become like liberals, to adopt liberal ideas, run ‘moderates’ and liberal Republicans and placate to ethnicity by advocating the same ideas as the Democrats so as to appease and appear likeable.

Reagan never apologized nor compromised his Conservatism. He ignored the media firewall and spoke directly to the people about Conservatism. Since Reagan, the media has made sure no Conservative will ever get away with doing that again, and the GOP Ruling Class is obsessed with trying to appease the media, whom they have surrendered is their only possible way to explain ideology to the people.

So let me say this - if being an immovable and uncompromising Conservative puts the GOP on the path to irrelevance - then the GOP deserves to be irrelevant and Conservatives need to go elsewhere and create a new party, which looks to be the case and may be necessary if Conservatism is to survive at all.
