House Speaker John Boehner offered Wednesday to pursue a deal with a victorious President Barack Obama that will include higher taxes "under the right conditions" to help reduce the nation's staggering debt and put its finances in order.

Boehner doesn’t understand he’s talking to a Moslem bomber. Do nothing and 0bama gets everything he wants. Why negotiate ?

Please read the other thread that was posted. Boehner used the word “revenues” but said that tax rates would not go up.

One thing is already certain. Anything good that comes from this, Obama will get the credit. And anything bad that comes from this, the Republicans will get the blame. In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that will profit.
Let it burn. Obama’s goal is to destroy America, and if we want to save America, we shouldn’t stand in his way. The only hope for America is that in four years we face a disaster that makes 2008 look like a Sunday picnic.

When you lose, you lose. Boehner is in an impossible political situation. No matter what he does, Obama and the media will portray the house Republicans for driving the country over (the new clever catchphrase) the dreaded fiscal cliff. Fact is this economic story can’t possibly end well. Monumental debt, endless entitlements, deficits both state and federal,dollar printing and unfunded liabilities as well as further economic contraction as Obama unleashes his dreaded anti capitalist EPA. Boehner probably should just get out of the way and let the Obama clown parade go over the cliff themselves. There is really almost nothing he can do.

In four years, the cause of this disaster will still be with us - 60 million voters who vote solely to keep their food stamps and disability checks flowing. And they will be joined by another 20-30 million voters who will be voting solely to keep their free government health care flowing.
