The government has been bankrupt for a long time lol!

But to the heart of your question.. what happens when we can no longer borrow?

Well.. we become Greece. And the rest of the world will suffer as the debts we crash other economies defaulting on the debt.

Sooner rather than later, they won’t be able to print any more money for freebies.

Prepare for that day, folks. There’s gonna be some MAD 0zombies, and you can guarantee the left is going to say “you ain’t got because they got”.

Read the articles where Bohner has said the same thing and the articles following a day later where he 180s like clockwork.

Or do you deny his record on doing that very thing?

Know what? Never mind. I’m sure his feet are already warm and toasty with all these people holding them to the excuse fire.

Ah, but what if there are no more freebies because the gov’t goes bankrupt?

The government will never go bankrupt as long as they have electricity to run the printing presses.

Already? Normally in a compromise, both sides give a little to get what they want. What is the GOP getting? Exactly. We need to find another party because the GOP isn’t conservative nor do any of them have a backbone.

It doesn’t matter what Boehner does there are not enough people to tax to keep us from going over the cliff. I say the sooner the better. Its going to take a mega disaster to get this country back. The ballot box is not going to work.

you have a valid point but there is a lot he can do....i don’t blame him for making this statement and he did stand firm on the tax deal that did not go down a year or so ago...

i don’t like Boehner but i’ll wait and see what the “deal” is before passing judgement...

The rich libs who voted for Obama, let the Govt take away their damn wealth..they wanted Socialism..take their wealth like they do in France..70 percent..I wouldnt be surprised to see the GOP cave..I wonder when Boehner said this did he cry..Dems dont cave in on anything, they want their Socialist utopia and they pretty much got it, but the GOP always has to “compromise” can we just create a Tea Party and screw the GOP already

I suggest giving Zero and the RATS everything they want. Sure, it’ll hurt; but that way, they own the resulant disaster lock, stock, and barrel.

gov’t “space credits” only have value whilst people accept that they have value.

That “full faith and credit” thing is going to be worth a warm bucket of spit.

He’ll be gone in a couple of years. GOP will probably lose the House.

Boehner didn’t say that Einstein. Why you would take as gospel what an NBC network spews is beyond me.

There’s no way to avoid the coming fiscal disaster - might as well give them the wheel to drive us off the cliff.

I don’t take the word of the MSM. I take his historical record of capitulation after making nice noises like he did here. His weasel words still fool some apparently.

Are you saying he does not cave regularly?
