Red American: Welcome to California
Me | 11-7-2012 | Behind the Blue Wall

Posted on 11/07/2012 1:33:41 PM PST by Behind the Blue Wall

I'm not one of those seeing a silver lining on what happened yesterday. This was a crushing defeat for liberty and freedom. Not to get to hyperbolic about it, but I would not be surprised at all if I never see another President in my lifetime who believes in the kind of freedom and liberty envisioned by the Founders of this great nation. I live in California, the state that once bequeathed Ronald Reagan to the nation, but where we now have liberal Democrats holding every statewide office, and the Republicans have less than a third of the seats in the state legislature. It's simple math . . . we have imported millions of people who are more interested in handouts than opportunity, and we have taxed, regulated and harassed those who work for a living out of business and out of the state. The end result is that Democrats are guaranteed power for the forseeable future, even as the conditions of life for everyone except the rich and public employees gets worse and worse every year. What's happened in California over the past twenty years will happen to the rest of America, as sure as winter follows fall and the night follows the day. Within the first two years Obama will grant citizenship to tens of millions of illegal aliens, and loads of free goodies to every little niche group with their hands out, and that will be the end of the story. They will vote Democrat for generations to come no matter how bad things get, and there won't be nearly enough freedom-loving Americans to offset them. I'm sorry to be downer, but it is what it is, I'm living it now, you will be soon.

I live here too. It’s so sad because it really is a beautiful state....but it won’t be much longer.

I live in California. We just approved Prop 30, a massive tax increase. Next Jan. 1 CARB regulations kick in as well as repeal of the Bush Tax cuts. This morning I heard of the first of an avalanche of pink slips that will be handed out by mostly small companies. Folks I belong to a teachers union so I’m supposed to be relieved, right? I’m not. Tax revenue will become a trickle of it’s former flow. We’re all doomed, some sooner, some later. Arm yourself because no one here’s going to save you. Everyone for themselves.

And it’s not like we haven’t warned over and over about this.

I will begin looking for another state to move to. I realize that eventually the same problems which have sunk California, will invade every corner of the U.S., but, perhaps, I’ll be able to reach my retirement years before that happens.

I think it is the public sector unions who helped devise the welfare sheme in California in order to attract and keep the illegal aliens in order to have votes that will perpetually support their outrageous generous benefits. Because Texas has just as many Hispanics and is conservative. They don’t have an all powerful public sector union gang running the show.

“This morning I heard of the first of an avalanche of pink slips that will be handed out by mostly small companies.”

I started a thread last night about firing a liberal today in less than 4 hours. This is my therapy. I’ll worry about the taxes with my business partners later on..

We left 3 years ago with my husband's company. They had been in SoCal for over 50 years. After 19 years there, I miss the activities and the beauty but not the governing of Democrats. Unfortunately I cannot get away from Democrat rule now.

I'm sorry to be downer, but it is what it is, I'm living it now, you will be soon.

They already are...Don't be fooled. It's why they are always begging others to join them...lol

The big exception here is we have great weather in southern California, no snow, hurricanes, tornadoes, ice storms, and ice box weather or miserable extreme heat and humidity. Not to mention lots of things to do and see.

Ya can't do anything about change or demographics thanks to corrupt U.S. government.

Currently, 73 degrees, clear, sunny with a mild on shore pacific Breeze. Orange trees and flowers abound.

The rest of November, December, January, February should be about the same.

If I got to live in a socialist country, I might as well live in where the weather is near perfect year round, where there are lots of things to do.

Take care!

Be sure to get back to us with details--How you call him into your office, exactly what you say to him, and what his reaction is.

This, I will enjoy.

I live here too. In place of complaining, I am thinking better look for loop holes, how to get free goodies? Need some way to cover tax hike. In liberal land do as the liberals do. Let spread welfare around. Atleast, it can speed up fall/bottom, less misery.

Let start sharing loop holes for welfare, especially for those who are making 100k+.

Unless you want America to be like CalifornicatingU land, the rest of America needs to separate the blue state pos’s from your money.

Start a boycott, buycott or avoidcott with the Blue States.

Don’t buy a product made or raised in a blue state unless you have proof its owners are not left wingers.

Don’t vacation in, or have conventions or business meetings in, Democrat blue states. Start with Nevada until the casino bosses get rid of Reid and send him home to have more time with his family.

Don’t visit CalifornicatorU land. Don’t go to Follywood movies and stay away from our products except those produced or raised by conservatives.

Avoid NY City like it has the plague. It has the terminal Bloomberg mental illness.

The Blue Staters hate you, your religion, your belief system, and your priorities in life. Let them live without your $’s.

Let the blue states sink on their own!

Save your charity $’s for red state people when disasters hits their area.

Hey, I was born and raised in Southern California but escaped from there in 1979 to live in Louisiana (ancestral family state). After many years my job brought me to Illinois, which is now in the exact same position as California, but with shitty weather.

But I will be 62 soon, so I may just pack it all in and remove myself back to Dixie, where there are still some folks who believe in the freedom envisioned by the Founders. However, if we want to preserve freedom there we’ll probably have to secede (again).

That’s right because the more gov’t benefits the more gov’t workers needed, The unions are the ones that kept pushing the healthcare reform for the same reason. I worked for a union and they openly admit this.

Good grief. The Democrats are just grifters. They’re not socialists. I’ve been around hard core communists. They think about the revolution every day. The Democrats think about how to put your money in their pockets and campaign chests every day. The Communists said they had to have 3% of the population as hard core communists in order to take over a country. That’s 9 million people in this country. You think we got 9 million throat cutters? Look at Grandpa Ayers and Obama. Do they look like throat cutters to you. Ayers lies about his age so he thinks he can have a chance with the girls. He’s just a dirty old man. How about Nancy Pelosi? Take her out deer hunting and have her gut a deer. I guarantee you that old girl will be throwing up. It’s pretty easy to talk tough, but it’s a lot harder to cut someone’s throat. They’re just Democrat grifters.
