November 22, 2012 marks the 49th anniversary of President Kennedy’s assisination by an avowed communist.

While still in the early stages of his flirtation with political causes, 0swald joined the Marine Corps. In October 1959, after a two-year stint as a radar operator, Oswald became the first Marine to defect to the Soviet Union, In Moscow, he delivered a letter stating. "I affirm that my allegiance is to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics."

The most obvious motive was provided by Oswald himself in his letter from Moscow: To kill any American who put on a uniform against his cause. He openly subscribed to the terrorist creed that a man with a rifle could change history; and, as far as Oswald was concerned, President Kennedy and General Walker were both actively working to destroy his avowed hero -- Castro.

Oswald was CIA. Kennedy was to disband the CIA post Bay of Pigs. Didn’t live to do so.

Probably trying to bait people angry over the election yesterday into saying something like "Where's Oswald when we need him?!?" so Chris Mathews can get on MSNBC and report that conservatives are calling for Obama's assassination.

I remember it clearly. I wasn’t upset one way or the other. Neither were my friends. As teenagers we already knew and understood that Kennedy was mostly myth and the legends of his womanizing were mostly true. We also understood at the time that Johnson was a criminal and even then speculated that he was involved in some way.

They’re reporting this a day after the election. Are they worried? Biden is nowhere near as smart as LBJ but probably as ruthless. Biden might be as smart as one of LBJ’s beagles but that is questionable.

Not old enough to remember it - But I am old enough to remember the day when Reagan was shot, it was a horrible day.

i saw some “tin-foil-hat” video or show recently (someplace???) that claimed the entire “establishment” - the Dim & GOP elites, the banks, the Federal Reserve et el, arranged the hit on Kennedy right after he tried to have the Treasury begin to issue U.S. Dollars backed by Gold and not “Federal Reserve Notes”.

When Reagan was shot I was in my 30s and there was great concern but Reagan was a different person and case from JFK. Reagan was a real president and leader. Sadly, he was the last real president and leader we have had.
