I was taught that a no experience Chicago hack can be president for 8 years. I was taught that America is going to hell in a hand basket. I was taught that hard work to get what you want is not the way anymore. I was taught that a president can buy votes with food stamps. I was taught that I'm going to get a european style healthcare system. I was taught this country is in deep economic doo doo and our Gilligan president will do nothing to change that fact. I was taught to care less than zero about the clown in the White House and all the dumb @$$es who voted for him. There's much, much more but I just wanted to scratch the surface.
Funny, I learned all that in 2008.
Sever all personal interaction with lefties, other than what you are required to do at work, and you will feel a lot better.

I did that long ago. I don’t speak to my own family about this stuff, it is too infuriating.
all Facebook lefties are gone from my friends list this morning. I don’t even want to be alerted that they have posted anything. Their posts are always along the lines that we are some sort of racist extremists..

Especially since the 2008 election cycle - I just don’t look at liberals the same as other people. I question their intelligence, their morals, value system, etc.
For someone to support Obama after 4 years of demonstrated failures, bad judgement, etc.... says much about that person.

Agreed. I will hate the Left with every fiber of my being. I am going to try to live out my days peacefully. I will come to FR, but I will stay away from the news and other news outlets. I will pull away from society and the nation. It is not the country I know anymore. I hate to say it, but if there is any chance to do violence against a leftist, I might take it. This is what I have been reduced to.

Ok, I read through many of the posts here and what I am getting is that the political divide is now going to poison Republicans/conservatives. So far, the political divide has been something that the left has pushed for more than 30 years but, now, because we are pi$$ed that our moderate candidate (who validated the history of moderates that they don’t win) lost, we are going to become dems.
Rather than pout and sulk and take our toys and go home, let’s give the left what it wants - a nation that doesn’t oppose their radicalism and hate. Let them stew in their own juice after we seceed from the United States of Liberal Loonyville.
When the left loses us, they lose the people who pay all the bills and give them the funds to buy more votes to oppose us politically. If we aren’t part of their liberal, loony schemes and agenda and they have to start paying their own way, liberalism won’t look so attractive to them.
But, I believe that realization is about 50 years or so down the road.
