I had a teachable moment last night...
11/07/12

Posted on 11/07/2012 10:22:07 AM PST by AngelesCrestHighway

I was taught that a no experience Chicago hack can be president for 8 years. I was taught that America is going to hell in a hand basket. I was taught that hard work to get what you want is not the way anymore. I was taught that a president can buy votes with food stamps. I was taught that I'm going to get a european style healthcare system. I was taught this country is in deep economic doo doo and our Gilligan president will do nothing to change that fact. I was taught to care less than zero about the clown in the White House and all the dumb @$$es who voted for him. There's much, much more but I just wanted to scratch the surface.

To all who voted to re-up this communist jerk for 4 more years ...

REMEMBER THIS DAY:

When the power goes off, not because of a storm, but due to lack of electric generating capacity because the EPA shut down all the coal-fired power plants

When a older loved one is denied a life-saving medical procedure because a Washington bureaucrat decided that treating him/her isn't cost-effective

When terrorist attacks on the homeland become a regular occurrence, because our enemies rightly perceive us as weak

When young men continue to come home from Afghanistan in body bags, killed by the Taliban forces that our leaders don't consider to be our enemies

When we start pushing around wheelbarrows full of worthless dollars to buy a loaf of bread

Go on, enjoy your moment now. Gloat all you want, but remember this: when the Chinese call in their loans, and economy collapses from an unsustainable level of debt, then CIVIL WAR II will be in the offing. That's something you WON'T be able to sit out ... you'll need to choose a side.

Choose wisely, and REMEMBER THIS DAY.

Don't forget to 'sever ties' with the Obamamedia. That means ending subscriptions. . .and not letting your channel changer rest on their channels. These people need a message; and that it the only one that will impact.

And yes; sending money to your 'Leftist' Alma Mater? Better to save it.

The above of course; if you have not 'yet' gone there. . .

Funny....I learned some things too. I learned that hanging out at a site like FR here without scanning out around and getting other input can lead to mistaken perception of reality.

The reality is that the majority in this country, it seems, could give a shit about its future; they only wish to subsist for a pittance foresaking any chance to improve their wholesale lot for themselves and their heirs.

If they don’t succeed, they can blame it on anyone - rich people, white people, Americans who were born here of American citizens who themselves were born here.

So, what’s to do? Try and keep your children and grandchildren from being brainwashed in government schools. Sit them down every day and find out what bullshit they’ve been told. Correct it.

If you don’t own a gun, buy one. Buy one for each of your heirs. I’m not saying start a war, but each heir should be comfortable and proficient with one. Buy them, hide them if you have to. You can buy guns on Craigslist and don’t need a Form 4473.

Above all else, when you’re down, do something cathartic. Mine was a trip to the range this morning. I took my 1943 Colt US Government 1911 along with 250 rounds of 1942 45ACP ball ammo made by WCC and I shot. I shot until I felt better. On my last target sheet, I stuck the “I voted” sticker from Georgia and let have at it.

"I was taught that a no experience Chicago hack can be president for 8 years."

We will be exceptionally fortunate if he goes away after eight. If there is even a whiff in the air that he and his party could get away with ignoring the 22nd Amendment, have no doubt that they will.

Choose wisely, and REMEMBER THIS DAY.

My corollary to the consequences of the socialist electorate is a bit different. When the SHTF, the socialist will not remember this day because, in his mind, the catastrophe will be at the feet of the evil conservatives and rich guys.

This is why the mantra of "It's Bush's fault" worked so well and, incredibly to any reasoning primate, continues to work today. They will only remember that Obama and the Democratics bravely tried to staunch the economic hemorrhaging perpetrated by the evil Republicans. How can one ever overcome such vacuous mental acumen?

There’s an old Chinese saying about knowing yourself and your opponent. It basically says that in order to win, you have to understand your people and your opponent’s people. We make the mistake of believing that the Democrats feel and think like us. They don’t. We need to understand them to know their strengths and weaknesses. We don’t even understand our own party. Where’s old Reince Prebus today? Where’s Karl Rove? Where’s Ann Coulter? Where they should all be is looking for work. Pull away from Democrats? I hope not. If we understand them, then we can convince them to vote Republican. I strongly believe that it is in about 90% of our citizen’s best interest to vote Republican. Why are we losing when 90% of our population should just automatically vote Republican. It’s because the Democrats have them scared and jealous. No, all is not lost. The Democrats don’t own the future. They’re just money-grubbing grifters who need to be exposed. It’s actually fun work.

I learned one thing.... only one...

1) Voting is for chumps... a distraction for the politically unaware.. and that democrats use the “veil” of voting to fool the unwary.. and use them as tools like a corrupt mechanic..

What i learned last night is that the ancient Mayans were right, the world did end in 2012. A new world is lurching forth to take its place. Not unlike the Invasion of the Body Snatchers where it looks the same, sounds the same, but there is something completely alien and deadly that has taken over.

I also learned not to pay much attention to anecdotal accounts of what’s happening on the ground. Another thing i learned is to trust my gut instincts. I kept hearing that we’d win in a blowout, but it kept reminding me of what we were hearing back in ‘08 — that the polls are wrong, that republicans are going to show up and vote like never before, and oh boy is it gonna be fun watching MSNBC and checking out DU tonight.

(When i heard that Republican internals were showing a very tight race i knew it was going to be a long night. But i had no idea it was going to be this bad. I’m still in shock.)

How do you do that if you don’t take your toys and go home?

Good question. what we are doing now is pouting and sulking and exposing our sour grapes with statements like "I'm not voting any more"; "no more politics for me"; "Rush and Hannity and Levin and Savage ALL need to stop talking and get off the air". In essence, we are taking throwing a bit of a tantrum and taking our toys and going home. Rush, etal, aren't the reason that our guy lost and not voting or avoiding politics also don't solve the problem.

We know that the rule of law is pretty much dead in America and that laws will only be primarily enforced against conservatives. IOW, we aren't going to be able to have very many victories in the foreseeable future.

In "Atlas Shrugged", when people "went Galt", they essentially went into hiding. I'm not suggesting that we go into hiding, I'm suggesting that the time has come to quit playing and form our own playground. We need to divorce liberal America, stop funding their socialism and begin again, out in the open, with a nation founded on conservative, religious beliefs.

Until the left sees how profitable we will be and what real FREEDOM looks like, they will continue to enslave us to THEIR socialism. We have alternatives and, instead of carping about the current situation, we can DO something about it.

I'm not pouting or sulking at all and I don't really see that in other posts. IMO there is a fundamental difference now that has never occurred before. It is one thing to have a corrupt government. That happens and there were means built into our Constitution to deal with it.

But the people have, in a majority vote, approved of a lawless government. When the people cease to support the rule of law, which at its highest is the Constitution, there is no longer any legitimate basis for the law or the government. What remains is a pretense. A farce.

The people have spoken and they have voted for a lawless nation.

I am heart-sick today and grieving for my deluded back-slidden country, which I love. I still trust that “all things work together for good to them that love God.” And I still believe that God is firmly in control:

“But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased” (Ps. 115:3); “My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” (Isa. 46:10); “He doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth, and none can stay His hand” (Dan. 4:35).

To quote A.W. Pink quoting Spurgeon:

“There is no attribute more comforting to His children than that of God’s Sovereignty. Under the most adverse circumstances, in the most severe trials, they believe that Sovereignty has ordained their afflictions, that Sovereignty overrules them, and that Sovereignty will sanctify them all. There is nothing for which the children ought more earnestly to contend than the doctrine of their Master over all creation—the Kingship of God over all the works of His own hands—the Throne of God and His right to sit upon that Throne.

On the other hand, there is no doctrine more hated by worldings, no truth of which they have made such a football, as the great, stupendous, but yet most certain doctrine of the Sovereignty of the infinite Jehovah. Men will allow God to be everywhere except on His throne. They will allow Him to be in His workshop to fashion worlds and make stars. They will allow Him to be in His almonry to dispense His alms and bestow His bounties.

They will allow Him to sustain the earth and bear up the pillars thereof, or light the lamps of heaven, or rule the waves of the evermoving ocean; but when God ascends His throne, His creatures then gnash their teeth, and we proclaim an enthroned God, and His right to do as He wills with His own, to dispose of His creatures as He thinks well, without consulting them in the matter; then it is that we are hissed and execrated, and then it is that men turn a deaf ear to us, for God on His throne is not the God they love. But it is God upon the throne that we love to preach. It is God upon His throne whom we trust.”
