The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 52% of Likely Voters at least somewhat approve of the president's job performance. Forty-eight percent (48%) at least somewhat disapprove...

Today’s figures include 34% who Strongly Approve of the way Obama is performing as president and 40% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him Presidential Approval Index rating of -6...That’s his best Approval Index rating in nearly two years, since January 2011.

Scott also says:

This race was very likely the last presidential election of the telephone polling era. While the industry did an excellent job of projecting last night’s election, entirely new techniques will need to be developed before 2016. The central issue is that phone polling worked for decades because that was how people communicated. In the 21st century, that is no longer true.

Presidential polling has become antiquated. The formula has been established.

Nominate a black Democrat. Promise lots of free stuff.

There is not a Republican dead or alive who can beat that, with this electorate.

Moderators and forum members - a request please

NO MORE APPROVAL DISAPPROVAL POLLS UNLESS OBAMA GETS ABOVE 55 PERCENT OR BELOW 40 PERCENT

Sick of seeing this stuff, which means nothing and clearly is complete B.S.

WHAT difference does the President’s approval rating make? He has been re-elected. We’re screwed for at least 4 more years.

Who cares?

Out of the 18 national polls, Rassmussen came second to dead last. Only Gallup was worse. Rasmussen needs to take his automated phone banks and his party ID algorithm and throw them in the trash. Either that, or find a new profession.

2012 final polls ranked by accuracy:

Ipsos/Reuters - Obama +2
PPP - Obama +2
DailyKos - Obama +2
YouGov - Obama +2
Pew - Obama +3
ABC/Wash Post - Obama +3
Angus-Reid - Obama +3
ABC/Post - Obama +3
UPI/CVOTER - Obama +1
IBD/TIPP - Obama +1
Gravis Marketing - tie
JZ Analytics/Newsmax - tie
Politico/GWU/Battleground - tie
Monmouth - tie
ARG - tie
CNN - tie
Rasmussen - Romney +1
Gallup - Romney +2

Is this for real? a bleeping POLL the day AFTER the after the election? That is about the DUMBEST thing I have ever seen. I don’t want to hear any more polls until summer 2014

In the 21st century, that is no longer true.

Yeah... along with that Republican party ID advantage of 5.8%.

We will see how the sheep in this country like it when the economy really tanks—the ME blows up and the terrorists start hitting home

Of course the MSM will convince them they never had it so good

Rasmussen, go hang your head. You made Republican voters overconfident, so they didn’t bother voting.

Same to that idiot Dick Morris. When I saw him grinning and gloating on FOX on Monday, I knew Romney would lose.

Why would anyone believe any of the pollsters, after yesterday's performance?

here here, I agree

the polls are done to influence people

and to prey on people influenced by polls

a thinking person does not give a dam what the polls say and has no need of them

they are fine for those that must run a campaign, but nothing but propoganda for everyone else

yep...thinking the same....even Reagan would have likly lost last night....the people who voted for Obama would never have switched....unless our candidate was minority or a women...

Flame away...but given the state of this economy...and the character of Obama....there was no other reason to vote for him other than racism or freebies....

IMHO

It’ll be down to -35 in a year or so, but by then it’ll be too late to matter.....
