Boehner offers congratulations to Obama

WASHINGTON — House Speaker John Boehner says that the decision by voters to keep a Democrat in the White House and Republicans in control of the House means they are looking for political leaders to find common ground.

The more conciliatory wording from Boehner came early Wednesday after Barack Obama secured a second term. The statement, part of a press release, contrasted with earlier statements when he said Republicans offered solutions while their opponents chose inaction.

Boehner said that the elections were a mandate to take "steps together" to boost the economy.

He had earlier said that the GOP's retaining of the House majority meant that there was no mandate to raise taxes. Obama is seeking higher tax rates for the wealthy.

Sheesh, the ink is hardly dry on the election results and Boner is kissin' up to Obama already.

You'd hardly know we still control the House.

Maybe we don't with this perpetual hang-dog heading the pack.

So Mr Boehner, how do you explain the 2010 House Majority and why after, that you agreed to raise the debt ceiling? You could have cut spending, and now we’re are just saddled with more debt.

"Democrat in the White House and Republicans in control of the House"

No Bozo Boehner, it means thousands of ballots stuffed into the ballot boxes with only '0bama' checked off, that's all.
