Democrats will retain their control of the Senate and Republicans will maintain majority in the House of Representatives.

The Democrats' larger Senate majority will give them the ability to influence much of the Washington agenda during the next two years.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, said the results show it's time for a change in how lawmakers do business. Democrats and Republicans must work together, he said.

"The strategy of obstruction, gridlock and delay was soundly rejected by the American people," he said in a statement. "Now, they are looking to us for solutions."

GTH: Harry. You and your kind made this situation now live with it.

The GOP should show the President and all Democrats the back of their hand. It is what they have earned.

Thank GOD for a GOP house to protect us from Obama.

It is not going to matter. Whatever Obama cannot get out of the Republican House, he will do by Executive Order.

And by “working towards a solution” he means that the GOP should cave to the Rats.

The GOP is a spent force at the national level. We need to let things collapse at the Federal level. If and that’s a big if, if we do have some Republican state legislators and governors with some balls, a stand might be effective. Otherwise, I prefer anarchy over a Leftist dictatorship.

Oh yeah, that one milliwatt speaker Boehner, regular Sgt. Rock that one.

Time for another golf game with the One. Don't worry, I'm on it!

Reid will trash the gentleman’s agreement on the super-majority in order to pass controversial legislation.

He will bring up legislation and dare Republicans to filibuster and see if they can block a vote via delay by unlimited debate.

Most people today can’t ever remember a filibuster that actually occurred, much less know of one that was acgtually successful.

Surely you don't think the GOP House is going to do anything!

They refused to defund Obamacare!

I have to think that the GOP house will be brake on Obummer to think otherwise is to see this nation go down the drain.

My line of the day is that the GOP in Congress (both houses) should treat the Democrats like Democrats have always treated Republicans. Ignore the howls of feigned outrage and slam the brakes on, hard.

That word “defund” is such a misnomer. Just don't fund any part of it.
