okay, then it’s gonna get very ugly very fast. Just rewatch the Titanic movies and you’ll get a glimpse of that.
Stock up on supplies, be ready for anything to happen, have real intense conversations with your family. Prepare them for the worst, and hope for the best, and pray like your life depends on it cuz it does!
Just know that when times are bad you either see the worst in a person or the best in them. Character is revealed quickly. Know that when bad stuff happens, some people will freak out. Stay calm, breathe, and be objective.
In the end, none of this matters anyway cuz God is in charge and He has an overarching plan for all of us. Get into your bible, pray hard, develop your personal relationship with Jesus. That’s the best thing you can do!

I guess I’m the outlier here. I have lived by the book my whole life and worked since I was 10. I am now 61 and have decided to join the takers. All the young people in my family worship Obama( nieces and nephews, I have no kids), and support gay marriage, abortion etc.. So my intent is to get on every government dole I qualify for. If they want a socialist country and the ruination it brings then I will be more than happy to let them pay my way from now on. There is no America as I know it left anymore so why try to make believe otherwise. What we saw yesterday was a triumph of the welfare state and 40 years of public school indoctrination. We have become a third world banana republic. I hope the young people of America enjoy their descent into oblivion.

With the apocalypse guaranteed, I just bought a used 2000 gallon fuel tank to be delivered tomorrow. We live on 28 acres and our car, truck, and two tractors are diesel. We will now buy in bulk when the price is low, and have reserves when times are bad.
That someone unknown like Obama could have taken the highest office in the land, and then a second time, means to me other powers are in play here. IMO, God is simply removing his divine protection from America and from the world as a whole.
Your suggestions and predictions are good and accurate. It's time to pool our knowledge and decide what can be done. For sure, God will shield those found worthy no matter where they are.

Some people advocate this as a way of hastening the collapse of the system. While this may be true, I will not do it. If I go on the dole, I forsake my honor. I plan to leave this life with honor, as a self-sufficient, old school American.

Prices will go up. Take out some extra and purchase now some of the items you will use anyway. Toilet paper, shampoo, soap, a few pair of pants, a couple pair of shoes ...

My mother survived Nazi-occupied France and taught us conservatism from birth. Her hero was Reagan and we both cried during his funeral.
I thank God she isn’t here to see what has happened to her beloved country....Clinton was bad enough.
But we can no longer afford to assume that the people around us have the wisdom to hold this country together and on the right track. What is obvious to so many of us is no longer obvious. We have to plant the seeds before they will sprout. I need to determine how best to use my talents and education to help people wake up to the impending disaster. I hope others will do likewise. We can’t survive long if we are a minority perceived by the majority as fat cat enemies to be destroyed.
I take comfort in knowing it is still about 50-50 split. There is still time to make a difference. Hang in there.
My situation is very similar to yours...but in what I thought was purple VA.
Also, I was raised in the SF area during the 60s and 70s so I know CA too.
My first impulse is to hunker down, ignore the chattering (even weather reports) and stay busy and get in shape and try to not support this regime any....
