Millions LESS people voted in 2012 than 2008?!
The Associated Press ^ | Nov. &, 2012 | Nancy Benac

Posted on 11/07/2012 6:29:32 AM PST by voveo

Preliminary figures indicate fewer people participated this time. Associated Press figures showed that about 118 million people had voted in the White House race, but that number will rise as more votes are counted. In 2008, 131 million people voted, according to the Federal Election Commission.

The news reports and anecdotal accounts all reported long lines and extreme waiting times to vote. There are posts in Freerepublic of people stating that they had never seen lines as long in all their years of voting. I understand that we are still counting and that the numbers will still increase, but it seems highly implausible that the number would be less. I can’t think of a time when a sitting president was reelected with less votes. The total count currently is 116,543,973 ( per Drudge ), in 2008 it was 132,618,580, a difference of 16,074,607. More people voted for McCain than for Romney.

I'm having a hard time swallowing that (for a number of reasons).

I sense a great disturbance in the Force

As if millions of voices cried out in terror and then suddenly were silenced

In actuality, this number is not the amount of voters...it’s the amount of votes tabulated.

There is a difference.

Yeah, I hope that we don’t get evidence of machine/results tampering, but cutting down the vote against Obama seems the way he won. A lot of people were out voting yesterday and there was a palpable feeling that Romney won. That was NOT the feeling during Obama/McCain.

We got robbed.

And the long lines were not just for one day of voting, but for early voting as well.

I don’t think it was an accident that R observers were kicked out in the battleground states - even in violation of a court order in one instance. The known election fraud of a perjurious Official Certification of Nomination for Obama (confirmed by the Hawaii state registrar) was neither the first nor the last of the crimes committed in this election...

Or, millions fewer votes were counted. Could be a lot of ballots went missing....

Ya live in a cave volvo?

Political insiders from both fraudulent parties have aided and abetted the epic invasion from Mexico for 30 years now.

It’d have to be systemic fraud in every precinct of every county in the country for a drop this large. That doesn’t seem easy to pull off IMO.

I am really concerned about this whole early voting process. Who is watching those votes.

“I’ll have a lot more flexibility after the election” - Obama, as whispered to Medvedev. Was Russia involved in anyway in this fraud?

I was listening to an election expert on overnight radio and she was talking about a couple of states have it so that you cannot even match up number of registered voters vs voters until 45 days after the election. That even the auditing process is being killed, basically.

Even the UN people were SHOCKED the US doesn’t require ID most places, and it is almost a trust based system...and they are far left....

It isn’t important who votes. What is important is who counts the votes.

Why were Republican poll watchers systematically turned away in swing states - only to be allowed back by a judge later. So what happened to the voting machines while no one was watching?

Yeah, but the votes are tallied in every precinct aren’t they? Someone would notice the discrepancy between the numbers they reported vs. what got officially tallied later.

Even if the votes were tampered with in swing states, that doesn’t explain a 16mil drop between now and ‘08.

Sure looks like it. Where did all those Republican votes from early voting and those long lines go?
