U.S. stock index futures turned sharply lower Wednesday amid worries over the looming "fiscal cliff" and as fears over Europe resurfaced, trumping an initial relief from President Barack Obama's re-election.

I think the House needs to let Obama take us over the cliff.

There will be negotiations, and Boehner will likely get the short end; but no matter what happens, the press will credit Obama if they make a deal, and blame Boehner if they don't.

The best course, though, is to crash this thing, and let's rebuild out of the ashes. The sooner we crush this entitlement mentality the sooner we can start fresh.

And at this point, we need to start from scratch.

Get prepared, help it crash.

The only problem is that we have a Marxist in power to “rebuild” Amerika after the crash.

Forget about the stock futures, folks. The U.S. dollar took a beating in yesterday's trading as more and more foreign investors realized that things here ain't going to get "fixed" anytime soon.

And if it makes anyone feel any better ... things here weren't going to get "fixed" if Romney won, either.

Crash and burn, baby!

Hell, let the country shatter and give the libs their space, and we can have ours, we don’t trade with them, and they can suffer in their abject ignorance and stupidity.

I wonder how many idiots whose pensions depend on a healthy economy and a rallying stock market voted for Barry O.

If the GOP hangs tough on the debt ceiling, the Democrats won't have any money to rebuild it.

We'll almost certainly go into a recession, and that might give us a chance to gain ground in the 2014 mid-terms.

“the Democrats won’t have any money to rebuild it”

What will “money” be? That word is meaningless in this context.

Agree with driving off the fiscal cliff. At the moment the fiscal situation is a mess, but its not yet broken. Let it break and see where the pieces land. So far the pieces are landing in Repubs favour at local level, I see no reason as to why they wont do the same at national level.

Yep, I’m definitely going to be VERY choosy about where I spend any money. I’m not going to patronize a liberal owned business if I can help it.

Handling the crash at as local a level as possible will keep the Marxists from rebuilding the country in THEIR image.

The markets are fully confident that in the end John Boehner will “roll over and take one for the team”.

you realize what you are saying? Let the House hang tough and take us into a recession- which will be hung around the necks of the GOP

Baaa. Let the House GOP give Mr president everything he wants. Shock the hell out of obama by agreeing with him. Let Boehner stand on the steps of the US Capitol and tell the folks they voted for the obama plan so they deserve to have it.

Let soetero tax the rich and the almost rich and anyone who thought they might get rich. So many reparations, so little time

Then when the CBO scores the likely results...watch the democrat party run like rats deserting a sinking ship..... which would be our economy....their economy

Meanwhile let Galt’s army grow. Put down the plows, folks. Let soetero and reid grow their own food plus enough for their peeps

Being a Kansan, I’d like to see Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas secede from the union and become one country. And except for Iowa State, the Big XII could remain intact. Screw Iowa.
