We always need to self-introspect but you are being too hard on yourself. What we need(ed) is to UNITE. The GOP was divided about Mitt from the beginning. The Primaries were too long and drawn out. Mitt survived GOP scrutiny only to be rejected by the common man or at least, the common liberal man who lives, breathes, eats and sh*ts DIVERSITY (BS). Party organization and UNITY was our problem, not just single individulal culpability.

Well, the trend is towards more government dependency and the idea about how to get it is by taking from someone who has ‘more’ than you.
The problem is not you or me. The problem is that now vices (envy,greed,lust,etc) have become virtues used to exploit the dumb masses. You cannot try to convince others that there could be painful consequences for their actions while they see others being rewarded for bad behavior.

I can only live my life to the fullest, take full responsibility, and work to support myself. To the extent that ‘I am my brothers keeper’, I will continue to employ my brother and my brother-in-law and take care of MY family, because charity begins at home. We don’t need martyrs. ‘They’ do.
