President Obama has been re-elected with strong Latino support

Latinos delivered. A record 75 percent of Latinos voted for President Barack Obama, and only 23 percent voted for Romney, according to Latino Decisions exit polls . In 2008, the president won 67 percent of the Hispanic vote while his Republican opponent Sen. John McCain won 31 percent, that’s an 8 percent gain for Obama.

In the battleground state of Colorado, 87 percent of Latinos voted for Obama, while only 10 percent voted for Romney. In Ohio, 82 percent of Latinos voted for President Obama.

In Massachusetts, Latinos came out to vote overwhelmingly for Obama with 89 percent, and just 9 percent for Romney. Latino support here had implications in the white-knuckled, close Massachusetts Senate race. “Latinos are an estimated 6 to 7 percent of all voters in Massachusetts and the impreMedia-Latino Decisions data shows Latinos overwhelmingly supported Elizabeth Warren by a record margin, 86 percent for Elizabeth Warren to 14 percent for Brown and the Latino vote is what decisively put Warren over the top,” says Latino Decisions political scientist Matt Barreto.

New Mexico went blue in this election, with 77 percent of Latinos voting for Obama and 21 percent for Romney.

Latinos overwhelmingly said jobs and the economy as well as immigration were top issues for them. ”Obama’s re-election marks a new beginning for politics, in a year where non-minority states went overwhelmingly for Romney and still lost, the era of extremism is knocking on death’s door. The GOP in states like Arizona and Texas should heed this message well or follow the pathway to irrelevance that is the South,” says Stephen Nuño, political science professor at Northern Arizona University and an NBC Latino contributor.

“The enthusiasm of Latino voters in this election reflects not only support for Obama and his policies, but dislike for the policies of Romney and the GOP,” says Cristina Beltran, a professor of cultural and social analysis at New York University.

Yeah, while I was at work tonight, I could hear the Mexicans in the shipping department yukking it up and jabbering amongst themselves while the returns were coming in.

What those saps don't realize is they are about to become citizens of an impoverished nation once again, and the trouble they went through to sneak over here will have been for nothing. But this time, there's no place else for them to sneak into to get freebies. And since they're now 'citizens' of the US, they won't be welcome back in Mexico unless they have a lot of money to spread around.

Irony is a b!tch.

Winning Texas and Winning the US are two different things.

Texas doesn’t have their own Social Security and Medicare programs. They don’t have AFDC and Foodstamp programs that are state level programs.

The Texas legislature meets only every other year.

There’s a whole host of reasons why citing Bush’s win in Texas is a basic non-sequitur.

But most all of them come down to this: The vast majority of free stuff is coming from the federal level.

Just watch, Karl Rove and guys like him, the same advisors who told the GOP to pander to Hispanics, are not discredited for their bad advice, but continue to give it. A better solution is for the GOP to increase its share of the white vote - still the biggest share of the electorate.

No, going RINO is not a good idea.
The Mexicans and Blacks will always vote for the real Dem over the RINO Dem.

Real Dem’s always offer more freebies, sucked from the wallets of the working class, than any RINO can.

But the biggest problem with Obaba’s reelection is that he will now be able to appoint est. 2 more Supreme Court judges plus hundreds more of lower courts judges. The judges get their jobs for life, so the evil of the Obaba/Dems will last for generations.

The USA will become a Fascist/Socialist Police State over the next 4 years and voter fraud will become so institutionalized that between the fraud, the Libs, and the gimme voters, the freedoms and prosperity now remaining will be gone.

The USA is finished as a free country. Greece/France/Britain...here we come.

Discouraging.

But periods of liberty and freedom have always been rare and relatively brief in World history.

4 more years of Obaba will turn the USA into the USSA, a bankrupt, oppressive police state tyranny of breath taking corruption.

Our future? Look at the various African Countries. Corrupt, incompetent, oppressive....

The New Deal Democrat coalition used ‘ethnic whites’.
2 generations later, the ethnic whites vote Republican and the Democrats find a new ethnic group for their coalition.

“Republicans are looking at a bleak future, and fielding Hispanic candidates won’t make a bit of difference.”

I emphatically disagree. We have to fight for the Hispanic, black, youth, woman, everyone vote. The Democrat coalition is fractured when you appeal based on good ideas and good results.

That sort of thinking is what got us into this mess.

You could say the same thing about blacks. It doesn’t work there either.

People should stop lying to themselves and other people. Racial minorities aren’t going to wake up one day and read the Federalist Papers.

It. Simply. Will. Not. Happen.

So what lies was Obama telling them to get their vote?

Obama's campaign was a triumph of micro-targetted negative advertising. Blue-collar white males in Ohio were told that Romney was a greedy outsourcer out to destroy American manufacturing. Suburban women were told Romney was going to bring back back-alley abortions. I'm sure he had some Spanish-language ads against Romney that were real humdingers.

What's the way to deal with this kind of stuff? More negative campaigning from our side? Defensive ads against it? I don't know. But Romney didn't seem to offer much of either when attacked. He seemed to just take the punch and try to change the subject. Turned out not to be an effective strategy.

Obama will secure the border. You know how? It will be so bad that we will want to cross over into Mexico and the Mexicans decide to build a fence to prevent us from coming in!

It is amazing that the people from a country that is an absolute cesspool have now set in motion the destruction of this once great country.

Congratulations, what are you going to do when, in a very short time, America is exactly like where you came from?

It won’t take long, rabbits are jealous of their ability to reproduce.

Welcome to Mexico North. The large intestine to one huge rectum.

Yep. I am sure the GOP is quite aware of this and had a hand in it. George W never did anything about illegal immigration nor have any of the others. They probably didn’t even go to the polls. Names were made up and entered as ballots.

Who needs good ideas when you can just give people free $$$?

This was the democrats’ plan to change demographics and so create race warfare(cultural marxism), and class warfare.

they started it withe the 1965 immigration act which changed immigration to come primarily from latin American countries which would then provide a home base for even more illegals. no Americans didn't lose this election even with all the media created false reality. It was all these foreigners (Mostly Hispanics) brought in who have voted. The democrats have captured the minorities and immigrants. It all began with the kennedys(including JFK) and their 1965 immigrant act.

A person works at a small company that makes firearm accessories. The employees are about 80 percent Hispanic/Mexican. They almost all voted Obama. Despite the Dems/Obama’s well known plans to ban guns. They voted for the candidate who will try and may succeed in putting their company out of business.

So why did they vote for the Dem/Obama?
For the freebies...and the Dems/Obama refusing to enforce immigration laws, unlike about every other Country in the World.

The USA’s light of freedom and opportunity is going out faster and faster.
