Marco Rubio: Mitt Romney VP Pick Will Show a ‘Good Decision Maker’
ABC News ^ | Jul 19, 2012 | Devin Dwyer

Mitt Romney made just one mistake, one miscalculation, one fatal move. Picking Paul Ryan was the wrong young man to put on his ticket. We could have had a Tea Party Hispanic from the State of Florida, Marco Rubio that would have given us Florida, at least 10% more Hispanic voters instead of going backwards. What a disaster, what a missed opportunity.

Paul Ryan was perfect, Marco Rubio wasn’t eligible. They can peddle their poop somewhere else.

Maybe. Maybe not. Myth made the calls, and most of them were bad. He probably would’ve buried Rubio the same as he did to Ryan.

B.S.

It would not have mattered. Not one little bit. It actually may have made things worse.

There were plenty on this board who openly said they would NEVER vote for Romney if Rubio was VP. Don’t kid yourself. I am convinced that this is way bigger than what the party or a single candidate did or didn’t do. I have come to believe that this is exactly what had to happen for certain things to happen to fulfill prophecy. O is the instrument but the grand design is still good versuses evil. While God will reign in the end there is going to be a hell of a lot of misery before then. This is just the beginning of the woes

I don’t think it would’ve made a difference. Remember Romney versus Perry on the ‘heartless’ comment? Or Romney versus McCain in 2008? Conservatives actually liked Romney for being tough on illegals but it is a problem for hispanics.

Actually I am glad Rubio is not damaged goods by losing on the Romney ticket. Now Rubio has chance in 2016.

The more I look at it does it really matter who Romney picked as VP? The American people, or at least half of them are fine with big government, cradle-to-grave entitlement programs, and harboring an intense dislike for other Americans who are successful and wealthy. The Democrats have successfully used class, gender, and race warfare to their advantage while doing great damage to the country as a whole. How do you combat that? Romney didn’t do a very good job of promoting conservative ideals but even if Newt or Rick Santorum had been the nominee instead would it have made a difference. The moocher and freeloader mentality of a significant number of people has to be dealt with or else our country is finished.

Romney picked a stellar VP candidate and it was within his rights to pick him. And, he also ran an excellent campaign (for the most part). This kind of lame, loser speculation is useless to get to the bottom of the reason for the loss.

Is it Rubio/Ryan or Ryan/Rubio?

We didn’t need 10% more of the Hispanic vote. We needed a few more points of the white vote. That would have won it.

Yeah...........

the VP pick would have swung the election..............

and if I was 5 inches taller and ran a 4 second 40 yard dash at the NFL combine, I would be starting for the Dallas Cowboys in their backfield.

How did Ryan help? He did not even bring in Wisconsin.

Unfortunately, the country was not ready for common sense economic ideas. It will not be ready until things get much worse first.

So now we’re listening to ABC, our enemy. The fact is that you win or lose an election by who is on the top of the ticket. If a VP was the reason an election is lost explain how Slow Joe Biden never took Barry down. BTW, ever notice how neither of them were at all worried...especially Biden laughing and grinning in that debate. He knew then it was all in the bag.

Rubio IS 100% eligible.

Those who think otherwise are legal idiots, with absolutely no legal authority on their side.
