One vote has not been counted

Posted on 11/06/2012 10:03:36 PM PST by Truthsearcher

Dear friends,

We don’t serve men… we serve a God in heaven who knew the outcome of this presidential election before the first vote was cast. And we’re living in this particular time for a reason… God wouldn’t have put us here in this moment in history if He didn’t have a purpose for us.

God knows our hearts and He knows our strongest desire is to save His children from the sin of this nation, but God’s plan for us is not an easy road. If it were easy we wouldn’t have been forged in the fire for this great battle. We’ve been prepared for the days to come and we must be thankful. We need to rejoice because God is the victor – not a politician (Republican or Democrat).

How much sweeter is the victory when every path of escape, but God, has been closed off? When all hope is lost and our enemies surround us – that’s is when our eyes must turn toward heaven and remember where our salvation is assured.

God in heaven – eternal and undefeated.

The final vote will be cast by God – and His vote is the only one that matters.

“The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.” – Proverbs 21:1

Thank you for sharing this email. Yes, God is the final vote and he has put all of us who serve Him here for a reason. Believers must all bend a knee and thank the Lord for his divine providence and rest on the promise that he will protect his own. Let us not forget that the final vote was: Jesus Christ. Amen

God will not save that upon which so many have turned their backs: America and its founding principles.

As Billy Graham noted:

“If God doesn’t punish America, He owes Sodom an apology.”

Well, for all of you who believe you’re exempt from earthly trials and tribulations, get ready for:

Energy shortages and very high prices.
Healthcare shortages and higher prices.
Economic collapse as businesses shrink.
Charities close, because gov’t doesn’t want them competing with their vote buying programs.

Wonder whether all of the anti-Mormon bigots, will recognize any of the above impacts?

There were good and holy people in ancient Israel who watched their leaders worship idols and turn from the God of Heaven and they watched Israel fall and be taken away into captivity because of their leaders great sin. America has lost a majority of truly christian people who vote and live their lives with christian conviction and principal, and America will now suffer from the choices of the unholy alliance that voted today. Get ready for a bumpy ride. Game over man, game over, end of story!

Thank you for sharing this!

This much and more is certain: God is still on His throne, He is Sovereign over all, and He has NOT abandoned us! If we are despondent over an election, shame on us. Perhaps this is His severe mercy in bringing us to a place where we are forced to place our trust in Him, and not on a specific person for president.

“Put not your trust in princes,
in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation....
Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord his God....
THE LORD WILL REIGN FOREVER.”

(Excerpted from Psalm 146)

R. (1a) The Lord is my light and my salvation.
The LORD is my light and my salvation;
whom should I fear?
The LORD is my life's refuge;
of whom should I be afraid?
R. The Lord is my light and my salvation.
One thing I ask of the LORD;
this I seek:
To dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
That I may gaze on the loveliness of the LORD
and contemplate his temple.
R. The Lord is my light and my salvation.
I believe that I shall see the bounty of the LORD
in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD with courage;
be stouthearted, and wait for the LORD.
R. The Lord is my light and my salvation.

Nations rise and fall. Empires crumble to dust. The lives of men are like the wheat of the fields, growing and then being scythed away.

The nation we love is all we know, but before the United States rose, God was. After it falls, God will be God still.

God has surely turned his face from this nation for the moment, since so many of our people are lost to depravity, materialism, license, and cruelty. So many think that the murder of His children is their right, in shocking defiance of God’s will in creating that life.

We are anguished to be living in a time when our beloved land is trampled, her moral beauties raped. The Devil of hell laughs at this injustice, and he laughs more when we despair. But His ways are not our ways, and His time is not our time. We can’t see the larger pattern, as He does.
In the grand scheme of things, even the end of a mighty empire is not so important as that God should have our souls united to Him. We should thank Him for whatever His perfect will is, even if that means poverty or suffering or death for us.

And it may.

You are quite right. Here is a summary of commentary from a recent sermon at my parish:

The four sins that cry out to God for vengeance:

1. Sodomy (no further commentary required)
2. Murder ( 1M abortions/year in USA)
3. Cheating a worker of his due wages (ever ponder why our clothes & gadgets are so inexpensive - hint: "made in china")
4. Abuse/neglect of widows and orphans (is turning them over to the state really caring for them out of charity?)

under these conditions, what else should we expect from the Lord? As Billy Graham said, if He doesn't punish America, He'll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

the Church in America is about to get a taste of martyrdom. I have little faith in our limp-wristed (Catholic) bishops to withstand it.

13 All these people died still believing what God had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it all from a distance and welcomed it. They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth. 14 Obviously people who say such things are looking forward to a country they can call their own. 15 If they had longed for the country they came from, they could have gone back. 16 But they were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland. That is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

If any of you have read the Book of Revelations and have any understanding of it, you should know that this is exactly where we should be at this time. As far as wrath goes, think Rapture and think it soon. Maranatha

Studying Ezekiel in Bible study right now. Amazing to see the parallels in the wrath brought to Israel because of her abominations. They are the same abominations we see in America today. While many here bless God with their lives, our nation as a whole does not. Quite frankly, this outcome did not surprise me in the least.

Thank you for this beautiful post. My heart is broken. We have once again made a bad choice. God knew what would happen. I wish I had been better prepared for the outcome. I had so hoped for this heaviness to be lifted from my heart. I will need to seek God more and more to have it lifted. My hope must be in Him and not in government. It just grieves me that we chose the wide path instead of the narrow. How sad for America and for Israel.

My Bible doctine is fine.

Yours was invented in the 1800’s.

Perhaps you can site specific documentation of discussion of the “Rapture”, prior to 1800?

I don't argue with people like you. Waste of time. It is in the Bible but you have to be enlightened by the Spirit, not my job. If you are a non believer, you are lost anyway and if you are a believer (born again) you will have a pleasant surprise when it happens.

You don’t “argue with people like me”, because you have no factual references for your position.
Instead, you misrepresent events from the first century A.D. and project them in to some fantasy that denies the Second Coming of Christ, by injecting some non-Biblical “rapture”, into the equation.
The whole “caught up” nonsense, has the elite joining Christ, before the actual Second Coming ever occurs.
