I was wrong
vanity

Posted on 11/06/2012 9:35:19 PM PST by quicksilver123

Well, I've watched the election all year, and predicted a defeat for the Democrats and a repudiation of the last four years. I have to admit that I called it wrong and Obama has been re-elected.

It turns out that Romney was right all along: 47% of the country is just "gone", given over to the takers and "looters" as Ayn Rand described it so precisely 50 years ago. Obama knit together a coalition of union thugs, marxist regulators, affirmative action winners, a corrupt media, sixties throwbacks, illegal aliens, race hustlers, and the young and impressionable. I guess congratulations are in order.

For 225 years or so, the USA really was the land of the free and the home of the brave, but that country that we all grew up in is gone: it is now in the same pantheon as ancient Greece and glorious Rome. Like very few countries in history, we have voted for our own demise and dictatorship.

I know the gleeful Obama voters that read this will just consider it to be sour grapes, and I suppose it is. Bitter? You bet.

I won't live long enough to see the totality of the gray, bleak future, but my kids will: they already owe tens of thousands in federal debt, and my grandchildren will suffer even more.

Remember all this country had accomplished and what it once meant to the world: The first modern democracy where the individual ruled, the country that sacrificed the lives of close to 700,000 citizens in a bloody civil war to right the wrong of slavery, the country that twice went to war to salvage the corrupt European political culture, that fought and won the cold war, that grew a prosperous middle class like had never been seen before.

All gone now: get ready for the new normal... My fellow citizens have decided that a pompous and inconsequential narcissist should have his four years of failure rewarded with four more years to accomplish his goal of destroying a once great nation.

they will likely rue the day...

“Romney couldn’t possibly have made a more stupid statement in saying what he said. Regardless of its truth, it was simply too blunt and insensitive to be anything but a huge negative for him. “

It was his Akin moment. Even fiscal conservatives can lose it with their ideology.

Well, if it will make you feel better we didn’t sacrifice 700,000 Americans to abolish slavery. We sacrificed 700,000 Americans to defend States Rights.

And the wrong side won.

Lots of blame to go around...as usual, those who hate evil made evil possible to rule them. Go figure!

Might not be a bad idea. I’m stuck in Kansas right now. Any particular locations in KY you’d recommend looking into?

Doesn’t mean anything is over. It’s only over if you stop fighting, or you die.

Go Galt.

That is exactly the fight I am fighting. I’ve gone more and more Galt every month for two years now.

I’m in a small band where one member grows ALL the food his family eats. From pigs, to corn, to tomatoes to sorghum. All of it.

And they use solar power for almost all their electricity, including the well pump.

I wasn't worried about if I was right or wrong. I did what the liberal media reporters do but I did it for freedom and to defeat Obama . I don't have as much exposure as liberal reporter but all over the Internet I always said Obama would get beat as my goal was to defeat Obama not to be right or wrong and I knew If I said the opposite that it could depress conservative turnout.

I disagree.

We need to bring back American jobs.

Stop buying imports.

Build and buy American.

How do you define the “47%”, no one ever did.

Does it mean government check, not owing income tax in a given year, what?

I was wrong too. Constitutional conservatives must find a way to defeat socialists, the media, the educational system, popular culture, public employee unions, and parasites.

The MEDIA won

Yes the media won. The media elected this marxist Obama twice upon us.

Can you imagine if a Republican president would have done what Obama did in Benghazi? Benghazi gate would be on the tv networks every minute and everyone would be talking about it now. You think we will even be able to impeach this Obama on Benghazi, fast and furious, unlawful executive orders etc? No because those things don't even exist as 95% of the population has not even heard of the UNLAWFUL things Obama did in those situations.

I’m from a small town in Alabama. Up until probably the mid-50’s many in this area lived on small family owned farms. No welfare, no food stamps, no social safety net at all. Dirt ass poor farmers according to todays norms but they had plenty to eat and were at least free.

Today, slavery has been abolished. We’re all “Free” right? We own our homes and have two cars and “free” education for the kids OH “ain’t everything great”. Much better than when we wer poor and ignorant country folk. Right?

Yea. Like that “free” education. Try not paying your property taxes and let’s see how long you keep your house. And what’s the difference when you live paycheck to paycheck to slavery. Hell, you can’t quit your job. Cause then your out on the street. You got kids, clothes, cars, insurance, taxes, food, utilities, on and on. What is the difference from a Slave? Well, I guess you get to make your own decisions? So then, cause he offers you more “stuff”, you vote Obama.

There is a reckoning coming. And it ain’t gonna be pretty. But, people have been “living off the grid” for not too many years past. And it aint as bad as folks make it out to be.

Any one receiving some kind of government benefit is part of that 48%. They are too powerful to be ignorance.

And no Republican will win who threatens their security. Its not freedom people value but safety.

In the long run, we shall have neither of them in our country.

The most republican age group are the people collecting social security, and the retired and present military, and others vote republican as well.

If you want to go after lefties, then go after the people under age 35.

Funny, watching LOTR is what I started doing rather than listening to election results. I voted for Romney and believe he would have won but for the open fraud being committed.

However, the bottom line is that “The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.” Prov 21:1. God has allowed the corruption and mendacity of this administration and our nation for His purposes.

I think that Israel may act soon against because of the election, and God will protect her - the resulting conflict is likely to be beyond anything we can imagine.

I plan on studying scripture, praying for many to come to know the Lord in days that grow ever darker, and trusting the Lord for my very bright, if currently cloudy, future.

Blessings,

I’d like to move overseas somewhere. Suggestions, anyone? I'm seriously going to be looking at Honduras. It's not perfect, but at least they kicked out their commie, and they'll probably be grateful for someone who can bring in some revenue.
