Half of the country still blames George W. Bush for the economy.

After FOUR YEARS of complete failure from our President, he still gets a pass from half the country.

How do you overcome that? Not just tonight, but ever.

Still blaming Bush. Hysterical.

I’d almost like to see Obama get in, so he could totally trash the economy and watch them all try to still blame Bush for EIGHT years of disaster.

I often wonder how people kept voting for FDR for Twelve years when he was so obviously incompetent at creating jobs and bringing us out of the depression.

Really?

If that was the case, then with the exception of those on welfare and/or receiving food stamps (for whom the "economy" means nothing) then Romney should be ahead by 10 points.

All of you act as if there were any truth to these exit polls. The first reports are NEVER accurate and they are wrong more than they are right. President kerry... remember? Damn... Conservatives are supposed to be made of stouter stuff than this. We may lose but nothing concrete on the ground points to that... in fact... just the opposite.

The people on the ground that media outfits hire to actually do the polling are ideological journalism students... or as I like to say... junior commies in training. Nothing could possibly get skewed with those people of integrity actually doing the polling. They are probably polling minorities and women heavier than they should... that was one trick that they used in 2004.

I agree with you about the worthlessness of exit polls, but the fact that they are saying the economy is overwhelmingly the biggest concern is good for Romney.

Oh... a reminder... THESE POLLS ARE ONLY BEING TAKEN IN 19 STATES.

I don’t disagree with what you are saying.

Just expressing out my incredulity at the responses people are giving.

In the past few elections, the earliest exit polls were always the worst for our side. They continued to get better and better as the evening wore on.

I will say that we must get something similar this time if we want to win. Here’s hoping!

I agree but all of the polling to date has shown that between 65 and 70% of Americans think that the economy is the number one concern. Also this data is only of the preliminary exit polling from 19 States. This is NOT a national poll.

WOW... we are treated with just as many exit polls as we were national polls.

The first nationwide exit poll results are in, and here’s some preliminary data heading into election night:

60% of voters say the economy is the most important issue facing the country, followed by 15% who said the deficit, and 17% who said healthcare.

What’s the most important candidate quality? 29% said “a vision for future,” 28% said “share my values,” 19% said “strong leader,” and 20% said “cares about people.”

Who is more in touch with people like you? 52% said Obama and 44% said Romney.

Who would better handle the economy? 47% said Obama and 51% said Romney.

I just get tired of the left and their games and Lucy keeps lifting the football every time Charlie goes to kick it.

47% said Obama and 51% said Romney.

If there’s any shred of rationality left in the country...this is the only figure we need to know for how the results will turn out.
