Tensions are high all over the country at the polls today. The Michigan Republican Party is alleging that a poll watcher in Detroit on Tuesday morning was threatened with a gun. According to the Michigan GOP the poll watcher's 911 call was rejected. Below is a press release from Michigan Republican Party spokesman Matt Frendeway:
This morning, a legally credentialed poll watcher was threatened and intimidated while attempting to perform his legally allowed duties of observing the election process at precinct polling location 289 in Detroit. The poll watcher, a lawyer, was confronted by a voter in line, who demanded the poll watcher produce his credentials, which he did.
However, the voter said that wasn’t good enough and that he had “a badge and a gun” and told the poll watcher get out of the precinct. Rather than allow the situation to escalate, the poll watcher left before the voter produced a badge or brandished a gun. Fearing for his safety, the poll watcher exited and called 911, however the Detroit Police refused to respond to the call – neglecting the fact that a voter alleged to have a ‘badge’ and a ‘gun’ in a precinct, putting other voters at risk.

Is ‘badge’ some sort of gang-slang? Where were the polling officials? I bet that 911 call tape disappears...
The poll watcher should have stayed.
A simple “So what? You have no authority here, and I’m calling the police to report a man with a weapon in a polling place... before I sue your ass for assault.” would have caused the idiot in question to shut his mouth.
It’s another black-run sewer. What else would you expect?

We are going to see 100% turnout in the major cities where nobody showed up to vote. Just an inkling.

I would love to hear the full 911 call.
Are Detroit cops so overworked that they cannot respond to a threat of a firearm? I know the Milwaukee police only respond to violence calls now (others you are told to come to the station to fill out a report), but a gun threat?
Liberals are tolerant people . They tolerate everything unless you disagree with them and then they try to kill you.
Why would anyone really be surprised.
The cops are not on our side. They are union. They are in the pocket of the Democrats, of course.

The COPS won’t come. The COPS are on the thugs side.
Its enormous in Detroit and the suburban neighborhoods around it and that’s true all over the country. Blacks are even more motivated than in 2008 to vote for Obama. They can make a difference in states where they have significant electoral clout - like MI, VA, NC and IN. Not so much in OH, which Romney may be able to win.

Surmising from the reports of people finding that someone had already cast their votes for them. This must be how the Democrats cheat and bring down the electoral system at the same time.
Not to worry. When Romney wins they will burn Detroit down.
That was his mistake. He should have stood his ground. If he was a poll watcher then he had a right to be there and should have stayed and made his 911 call from right there.
Why are these poll watchers abandoning their posts when someone looks at them crossways???
