Columnist George Will says the 2012 presidential race looks like it might be a lost cause for Republicans and believes that the primary goal of conservatives should be to retain control of the House and win the Senate so Congress can restrain President Barack Obama while the GOP grooms its talent for 2016.

Will said that he thinks Romney will win by over 315.
This was posted March 2, 2012. Just a few days ago, George Will predicted Romney would win with more than 300+ electoral votes.
The title should say this is from March. For a second there, I thought that he changed from Romney 300+EVs to a lost cause, overnight.
Will stated that he thought Romney was going to win.
Which is, of course, what I think is the right course for America!

Geo Will predicted on one of the Sunday talk shows that the Electoral College vote would be Romney: 321 Barry 217.
I cannot believe that he is switching his opinion that strongly in just 2 days.
The OP did point out the date of the article. In light of what Will says now, what he said back then is highly significant to his true mindset. (The libs will always hold Will up as a supposed paragon of conservatism though.)

Regardless of when Will wrote this, it’s still wrong. In a second term, Obama would just rule by decree, and dare Congress to stop him. What are they going to do - impeach the First Black President? Fat chance.
Bottom line, a re-elected President Obama will do precisely as he pleases and Congress will STFU and take it.
