Iowa: Advantage Romney
Breitbart ^ | November 6, 2012 | Tony Lee

President Barack Obama won Iowa in 2008 by 9.5 percentage points, but the incumbent President's poor performance among early voters indicates Republican challenger Mitt Romney has the advantage heading into election day.

Obama is doing worse than John Kerry, who lost the state in 2004 to George W. Bush, in early voting.

Romney has less of a deficit to overcome in Iowa on Election Day than either John McCain and George W. Bush in 2008 and 2004, respectively. Republicans have closed the registration gap with Democrats. Romney leads among independents in Iowa. And all of the state's major newspapers -- even those that endorsed Obama in 2008 -- have endorsed the former Governor.

The Des Moines Register, whose final 2008 poll predicted Obama winning by 17 -- 7.5 points higher than the actual outcome, has Obama up by five in its final 2012 poll.

I don’t see how we could lose Colorado either at this point. We won early voting, and we always beat the Dems on election day. If we win Iowa, the Des Moines register deserves some credit. They made the smart choice with their endorsement.

Iowa is a very weird State, half is very conservative, the other half very left-wing.

Hopefully there are enough good people left to roll back the takers.

May the heros of Benghazi be proud of how we vote today.

They gave their lives for us, now we need to give our votes for them.

Vote as if the lives of our Military Men and Women depended on it.

Very true. I grew up there and lived in Iowa for 40 years. On one hand, we elect Chuck Grassley then turn around and elect Tom Harkin at the same time.

Even I can't figure it out.

Well, the son and I did our part. Last night a young Republican ‘get out the vote’ kinda guy came by the house asking for the two of us. I was happy to say we’d both voted already, but didn’t have the presence of mind to ask him how it was going.
