“Notice how that tiny area always waits until the rest of the votes in the state have been counted before they report their votes. Hmm, wonder what they could be doing with that extra time.”

Just once, I’d like to see the predominantly Republican areas hold their vote tallies until 2:00 a.m. and dare the big cities to report their fraud first. They would go nuts!

Early voted on Monday and I’ll be surprised if any votes cast at my precint will be handled correctly. Ballots were falling off the table and the person in charge was stressed out.

Voted for Romney but he has no chance in the Peoples Republic of Michigan.

We've got this cripplecreek! I live in Livingston county, which is pretty red, and the polling places I drove past on the way to work were packed. I will be voting this afternoon. On my way in to work (which is in Oakland county - long drive), I go through Pontiac. To my surprise, there have been more and more pro-Romney and anti-Obama signs popping up.... in Pontiac!

All of my guys at work are fired up for a Romney win.

Broken glass - that best describes the feeling around the office - we'll crawl over broken glass, run through a brick wall to vote, no matter what the talking heads say.

I have a good feeling about the ballot initiatives too. The progs have overreached with their constitutional assault. They will be going down, I am quite convinced.

I think the Mrs. has even switched over to a firm Romney vote!

Stand strong, we can do this!

I vote in southeastern Michigan - I was in line at 7:05am, out the door at 7:55. This was a shorter wait that 2008. Nobody was discussing politics in line this time around, last time is was all loud, Pro-Obama misinformation. I have hope.

Arrived at the polls at about 8:45 with wife & granddaughter in tow. Wife & I were #144 & #145, respectively. Given the size of our precinct, I think this was a pretty strong turnout for this time of day.

Had the pleasure of waiting in line with a youngish Navy vet and his female friend, who is currently serving. When we first arrived, he was commenting candidly to a poll worker who was encouraging people to cast absentee ballots next time, just for the sake of convenience. The Navy vet averred that voting is both a privilege and a responsibility, and that we should make every attempt to vote in-person and at the polling place, and be required to show picture ID. (which we do, in our area...)

No idea about the trend of most of the voters around us, but it was clear that there were at least 4 Romney/Ryan votes standing together in-queue.

My wife had the temerity to mention Glenn Beck’s name aloud, and nobody threw anything. That’s probably a good thing...

Despite having a republican house, senate and governor in the state and a chance for the first president who was born in Michigan, something is very disturbing in the big mitten whether homeboy wins or not.

Thanks for starting the thread. I’ll chime in again after I vote.

I’m going to get me a shower and hobble down there before noon. There’s never much of a line here since there are only a few hundred voters in this precinct.

Same for me in Flower Mound, got in line about 6:45, maybe 20 people ahead of me, by 7:00, probably about 100 in line, was in and out by 7:15....much better than trying to do Early Voting, and best of all, we had good old-fashioned paper ballots.....all I had to do was black out the line for straight Republican ticket, and that was that.

Heavy turnout early throughout Crawford County. Republican stronghold. Our officials are quite good up here—everyone has to show ID.

Voted at 9:45 a.m. in western Wayne county and I was voter number 313. Waited in line for about an hour. I have never seen the turnout so high in our area. I usually vote mid morning and my voter number was in the 60’s. I hope this is a good sign. Overheard one Detroit firefighter (who happens to be black) say he forgot his drivers license and if he had to go home and find it, and wait another hour in line, it was worth it to him to “not get stuck with what we’ve had for the past four years.” Go Michigan! Go Romney/Ryan!

May the heros of Benghazi be proud of how we vote today.

They gave their lives for us, now we need to give our votes for them.

Vote as if the lives of our Military Men and Women depended on it.

Have not voted yet. Will when I get out of work at 4:00pm. Just an observation while driving into work(Highland Park)Detroit this morning. I-96 damned near empty with the Ford,GM,and Chrysler direct workers off for the day to vote. I voted for Palin in the last election, and must admit that I have had my come to Jesus moment, and am looking forward to casting my vote for R & R. This hard core Conservative, Tea Party member can no longer tolerate this Marxist POS any longer! Vote people, and vote often!! :)

I'm in Plymouth Township in western Wayne County. My husband and I had a short wait in line and were in and out in half an hour, despite the fact that I spoiled my ballot and needed to have that fixed.:-/ I think I was voter 22?. The line was longer when we left than when we arrived.
While we were there, someone who had received an absentee ballot but had not used it, and had not brought it in with him, was being loudly vocal about the poll workers trying to disenfranchise his vote. He was told what the law was and then he demanded to see a copy of the law. My husband said that he finally stepped out to make a phone call. I'm concerned that he was trying to foment trouble. I hate to say this, but he was the only black person in the precinct at the time. (Looked like a lawyer;-))
