Personally I'm not confident enough to say Romney will win here but it is a real possibility and will be within 3%.

Even if Romney doesn’t win, it’s possible that some borderline House seats could be flipped to the R side.

long lines... got in at number 61, but could not vote until about 91.. the lady with my paper and sticker just took off.... JUST TOOK OFF... waited while all the people behind me got their ballots, voted and left...

a nice young woman behind me said, a little loudly, “ Sir, you have been waiting patiently in line, I will not vote ahead of you”... and as the people at the table looked up at us, I said, “Thank you maam, but it is not up to you if I vote or not, it is up to the people at the table”... one lady at the table asked my name, I told her, and then she said that my card and sticker were not at the table. I told her she better find it. Then I told her the lady in the black sweater had it and just took off.

The precinct captain bolted and within a minute the lady with the black sweater came back in the room with my stuff, kinda threw it down on the table and stormed off again..

what a b%$ch !!!!

the rest of the people at the table apologized profusely..

Early AM, northern lower Michigan, line out the door and down the street.

Very big turnout.

Here in north Texas, everything was normal. Had to present my drivers license to verify I was registered. I signed off on my name that I voted. Next, I was given the standard 10 second tutorial on how to use the voting machine. That was it. No one asked me how I voted. I was in/out in less then 10 minutes.

My precinct is already at 40% turnout. Hopefully a lot of Romney people. My town is pretty much split 50/50. Was in Van Buren Township yesterday for a meeting. Lots of O voters. Cars within 100’ had Forward signs in the windows and a person was canvassing at the door. Talked to the Clerk. He didn’t give a rip.

Report it anyway.

Now.

It may head off, or document a real attempt at fraud.

Voted in Holland (Zeeland actually). West side of Michigan. Very red part of the state.

I was #12. By the time the doors opened at 7:00 there were over 100 people there.

One small concern:
The voting machine (run a long paper ballot through a scanner - vote by filling in ovals with a pen on the paper) wasn’t working. So they had people put the ballots in a box. I guess their plan is to run the ballots through the machine later. I’m just a little concerned because this is a pretty Republican area and I didn’t get to see my ballot go in - I’m trusting that the folks working at the poll will do it later.

I'm not sure there are any borderline house seats. The Detroit, Ann Arbor, and Flint districts are pretty firm democrat areas. I'm not sure what kind of chances we have in the 5th district.

I'm actually most interested in crushing the union ballot proposals and its looking pretty good at this point. In fact I got an email this morning from an old timer I know who belongs to a group calling themselves, Union members for Romney.

Early morning voting in Macomb County. I was #29 at my precinct and by the time I got out the place was packed with people lied up all around the inside of the school. All the poll workers were nice and helpful. One even noticed that it was my birthday and said Happy Birthday.

Picture ID checked at two different stations prior to receiving a ballot. Nothing electronic, paper ballot with a fill in the circle with black pen.

This picture is exactly what pisses me off about michigan. How in gods name can 99% of the state vote one way and it goes the other because of that teeny tiny area down south!

Daughter and I arrived at the Olive twp precinct 7:33AM, voted about 8:15. She was #95, I was #96. When I put my ballot in the shread... er, tabulator, the number on the display was #94.

I figure we got ahead of a couple of slower people.

They now scan the drivers license and it is linked to a lap top that has the registration records. That was cool, and saved a lot of time over the paper look up system.

Our county, Clinton, did go 0 last time, I don't think that will happen this time, the joy of voting for something historic isn't there any more.

Notice how that tiny area always waits until the rest of the votes in the state have been counted before they report their votes. Hmm, wonder what they could be doing with that extra time.

Fourth in line to vote. Doors weren’t opened yet when we got there. Nice crowd, the election people know us by name. Got my wittle sticker. LOL

Noted by dh: the Obama skanks weren’t waiting in line first thing this time.

Romney/Ryan!!!

Voted av in Northfield Twp. Poll challenging in Ann Arbor. Minor issues but clerks doing good job handling them.

They might be a bit more cautious about committing vote fraud in Detroit these days. Both the secretary of state and attorney general were targets of fraud in 2010 and have zero tolerance for it.
