I vote in Larry Leake’s home county, so I’m ALWAYS on the lookout for dirty tricks. It’s snowing hard, but hasn’t built up yet. My polling place is having a big turnout...lots of smiling faces and good cheer.

Here in Matthews there was a short line this morning, maybe a ten minute wait. Heavy early voting turnout in NC may mean lighter turnout today. I’ve heard of people waiting in line for over an hour in early voting.

May the heros of Benghazi be proud of how we vote today.

They gave their lives for us, now we need to give our votes for them.

Vote as if the lives of our Military Men and Women depended on it.

Voted at about 7:30 AM in Orange County. I was vote # 114, which means it’s been fairly heavy in our rural precinct.

Voting will be mostly Dems (Rs only make up ~15% in the precinct, heavily Dem). Made sure to comment to the Republicans outside that I was “voting for the American” as I walked in, just to tick off the Dems handing out literature.

In case anyone remembers the North Carolina voter bragging on Facebook about committing vote fraud, I have a follow up (sort of). Last week a guy named Jim Turner proudly posted that he had voted four times for Obama and was off to do more work at a polling place in another precinct. The screen shot was captured and I posted it here. FReeper Jeff Head suggested contacting the attorney general in N.C., which many of us did. Below is the screen shot (sorry it's so big, but I don't know how to make it smaller) followed by the letter I just got back from the attorney general. It seems the bragging liberal weaseled his way out of trouble in a hurry.

As is typical of liberals, he shows that he doesn't have the courage to stand by his actions.

It allso appears to me that the AG wants this matter gone in a hurry to avoid having to act responsibly.

Statement Regarding Jim Turner

This office has received numerous emails and phone calls from individuals justifiably concerned about a posting on Facebook in which a North Carolina voter named Jim Turner claimed to have voted multiple times in this election. Part of the posting was immediately suspect because there has been no early voting site at which he could have voted in Emerald Isle, North Carolina.

We have talked with Mr. Turner and learned that he is a senior citizen who made an unfortunate attempt at a “joke.” Here is his explanation of what happened:
Please allow me to explain the posting on Facebook. My daughter posted a “Like” on Barack Obama’s Facebook page about early voting. Thinking I was responding just to my daughter, I made a silly comment joking that I had voted at several different election sites. Not knowing I was posting to Barack Obama’s page rather than just to my daughter, this comment, made in total jest, has gone viral and has made many people angry.

I sincerely apologize for all of the difficulty this has created for the Board of Elections and appreciate your help in bringing closure to this situation.

Every claim or allegation of multiple voting must be taken seriously, but we have concluded that it did not occur in this case.

Thank you for your concern.

45 minute wait in Beaufort County — broken printer. Very rural, but turnout amazed me! My grandson’s 1st election, and he was stoked to vote for Mitt!

Not in NC but rather in SC — two hour plus waits in many Upstate polling places despite the turnout not being overwhelming. Big problems seem to center on under staffing of the polls and poll workers struggling with laptops that have replaced the traditional poll books. Lots of folks with work obligations are abandoning the ques. Should not effect the state's outcome for R/R.

No wait at all in Jamestown. I walked right in and immediately got a voting machine. Only one young fellow came in after me.

This is in Mel Watt's district.
