Post your anecdotal observations of Pennsylvania voting here.

We're especially interested in Freepers' observations of voting in the Philadelphia suburbs.

In my Blue Collar Yellow Dog inner-ring suburb of Pittsburgh...

Very light turnout! Shocked to get in right away and be just one of two voters. My instincts tell me that white Yinzer yellow dogs have soured on Barack and have opted to sit this one out.

There was a large menacing black fellow at the polling place (though not dressed in Black Panther garb). Waiting to go berzerk the first time a black voter is asked for their ID, I reckon. Did not bother with me.

I was the 100th person to vote at my polling place this morning in Oakmont, PA! And I was HAPPY to show my ID when asked and I made sure everybody heard me say it! The poll workers said only a few people declined to show ID.

The Gwynedd Mercy College voting location (a fairly swing subdistrict of Montgomery County) had somewhat longer than usual lines. The Dem poll worker said the lines were longer than usual. Not sure whether that is good or not but the yard signs in the area are roughly 60% Romney.

Cumberland County here. Today I saw the longest line that i have ever seen at the opening of my precinct. I arrived at 6:50 am. I was 38th to vote. The line had doubled by the time the doors opened. Usually there are 5-10 people waiting for the doors to open. This is about 8 times the normal turnout, but it is probably better to look at it as 8 times more motivation to vote ... there are not enough people that live here to keep that up all day.

As I was leaving, the line was just as long and people were waiting for cars to leave to get a parking space.

I live in a very Republican precinct. We will offset the Philadelphia Hood Rat vote.

Western suburbs of Philly. Heavy turnout at 7am. The people at the front of the line with me were conservatives.

Just voted in a suburb of Allentown, PA. Waited 45 minutes, which is longer than in 2008. There was one Obama supporter there trying to defend the czars. Most people were rolling their eyes. Hoping that PA turns red!

An absolutely awesome antidote to black panther voter intimidation. Just having those guys around is going to help.

God Bless our veterans.

Chester County, small borough. We started lining up before 6:30. I was number voter #9. When I left, the line was around the building, though I couldn’t tell the makekup. I saw a number of new faces, though.

(please pardon my copy/pasting this prolifically today  :-)

- - - - - -

I had the distinct privilege of casting the first vote in my little, predominantly Conservative, village !

Matter of fact, can't recall seeing a single Ødious sign here at all . . some across the river in the college town (Bucknell), but even very few there, comparatively.

Got to my polling place in central PA at 0630, and by the time the doors opened at 7 there were already ~25 in line, with more cars pulling in every minute or two.

Great chatter with several others who got there shortly after me, with the concensus being we were all more eager to cast today's votes than any time since Reagan !

When the election official asked for my name, I took my time getting the wallet out to show my ID.

One of the officiating ladies said "we don't need to see your ID", whereupon I politely stated, in a clear full voice "Yes you do .. I'm (tomkat) and I'm proud to show my eligibility to vote for President Romney".

It's gonna be a long day's wait, but by tonight we'll have served a tsunami-sized eviction notice on the most hideous presidential mistake this country's ever made !

I voted at 8:00. I was #96. Pretty good for that early. Only one person in front of me, so those who voted before me stopped on the way to work. A number of cars pulling in as I was leaving. I’ve seen more Romney signs - way more - than Obama. Our county always goes red in any election though, even with a large university (15,000+ students) with the usual lib professor population!
