To our swing state brothers and sisters...you are our hope...get out there and vote....!

Voted today on Long Island...in the People's Republic of NY....although it was likely meaningless....it still felt good....conservative across the line...

May Godd Be With Us....

NOVA doesn’t look good. It may be a close win in VA.

That depends on your definition of NOVA. Loudoun County and PW County are going Romney and I predict that they will go in large margins. Fairfax should be nearly a draw.

Here in NoVa line was 200+ deep. Wife said lots of O voters were there and, “fired up.” Not what I wanted to hear.

The MSM achieved its goal - to get O voters who might have stayed home out to the polls.

West Virginia polls open at 6:30am. I arrived at 6:32, and there were already 15-20 people in line ahead of me.

Romney will win WV easily, and we will likely re-elect 1st term R Congressman David McKinley. It’s hard to guess how we will do in statewide races. R’s have good, well-financed candidates for Governor, Senate, and Attorney General but WV voters never seem to get that Dem governors and senators support Obama’s agenda, no matter how much they try to separate themselves in public. We’ll see how long Romney’s coattails are.

Got that right, Wolf. Last time it was 63% McCain, 36% Obama.

VA’s demographics have changed somewhat. A decade ago, a GOP presidential candidate was guaranteed to win the state.

Today its more challenging.

Not that it matters here in the Peoples Republic of Maryland, but passing my polling place this morning showed a large line of cars waiting to get into the parking lot ... small school, 100+ cars waiting ...

I plan to vote after lunch ...

Lots of important questions on the MD ballot, gay marriage, gambling, MD DREAM act stuff ... but bambi is probably going to win MD ...

Don’t know but if they’re O voters - we know which way MD will go.

Not enough Republicans there to win it but a decent turnout could keep it close.

The line I stand in to vote every year since 1996 was about the same size as ‘08, but...people were dressed for work! In ‘08 the line was full of (many)first time voters dressed in house clothes. The line this morning more closely matched ‘00 and ‘04 demographics, but it was as big as ‘08. Big early turnout of Republicans in the Hoosier State..

Remember this - Vigo County Indiana is one of the best bellwether regions for voting U.S. presidential elections; it has voted for the winning candidate in every election since 1956 and in all but two elections since 1892.It continued the trend in 2008, voting for Obama by a 16-point margin.

The numbers for Vigo will be in by 6:30-7:00 EST.

Vigo went for Obama in 2008.

This year it will go for Romney. I expect IN to go R again. If its called early for Romney, its a good sign.

When it came in late in 2008, I knew it was over.

FWIW in Suffolk/Isle of Wight VA I drive by three polling places on the way to work. In 2008 at my polling place the line was out the door around the corner and down one entire side of the High School before polls opened. This year..maybe 40 or 50. I didn’t have time to wait this morning so I will go on my way home.

Tons of Romney signs in the area, much lighter on O. Last election I put up a McCain sign and within 18 hours both of my neighbors countered with O signs. This election my saign has been up for a month with no response.

No matter what happens one thing is certain. After tonight I can plug my phone back in to the wall.

Yeh, but just wait until noon when the ripple-induced sleep of the rats wears off. They will stumble to the mailbox to get their gov’t check, wait for the bus to take them to the voting booth so they can cancel out a patriotic hard working person’s vote for Romney!

lol. Thanks for the early laugh! Now I have to get in line here in Arlington to vote!

Even here in Massachusetts, we have Republicans in large numbers. Many of them don't bother voting most years because it's a lost cause. So when the lines in and around Boston are short, I know it's going to be a bad day for the Republicans. But when the lines are long even in Boston, the Republicans are turning out too. This happened during the 2010 special election when Scott Brown shocked the country by taking a Massachusetts senate seat.

Small town, 24,000 here. At 6:45 the line was at least a hundred feet long, but it moved rapidly.

Legions of Fauxahontas demons holding signs, though. I can only hope the "squaw" (in its original actual meaning) loses.

(please pardon my copy/pasting this prolifically today  :-)

- - - - - -

I had the distinct privilege of casting the first vote in my little, predominantly Conservative, village !

Matter of fact, can't recall seeing a single Ødious sign here at all . . some across the river in the college town (Bucknell), but even very few there, comparatively.

Got to my polling place in central PA at 0630, and by the time the doors opened at 7 there were already ~25 in line, with more cars pulling in every minute or two.

Great chatter with several others who got there shortly after me, with the concensus being we were all more eager to cast today's votes than any time since Reagan !

When the election official asked for my name, I took my time getting the wallet out, while stating in a clear full voice that "I'm (tomkat) and I'm proud to show my eligibility to vote for President Romney".

It's gonna be a long day's wait, but by tonight we'll have served a tsunami-sized eviction notice on the most hideous presidential mistake this country's ever made !
