One of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's (R) advisers denied a report that the governor turned down an invitation by Mitt Romney to appear at an event with him on Tuesday.

Christie Adviser Bill Palatucci denied a report in The Huffington Post on Monday which said that Christie turned down an invitation by Romney to appear at a campaign event on Tuesday, according to CNN.

Asked by CNN if Christie had been invited to appear at the event in Morrisville, a suburb of Philadelphia, PA, Palatucci told CNN "no."

Christie adviser denies report of turning down Romney event invitation.

Claims instead it was over an offensive video he had absolutely nothing to do with.

>> Why wouldnt he expect even more aid from Romney on Jan. 22?

That’s a long time for his suffering citizens to wait, don’t you think?

They’re starving and freezing, some of ‘em. Some things transcend politics, FRiend.

Christie should have done a bloomberg and kept his mouth shut, and now after over a week people are still with no power, no gas, no water, no food , no heat but don;t expect the media to show split screens showing obama on the trail and people left homeless.

Christie gave a gift to obama for that photo op and if anyone does not see that is it any wonder why sometimes we have us losing elections and the left laughing at us

If they are denying that they turned it down, does that mean that they accepted it?

Notwithstanding that the memories of most people are about as long as their front teeth, Christie’s national political future is toast or should be.

Aid is coming right now, regardless of kissing ass. The feds are in NJ, NY, all up and down the coast, even though Obama was only invited to NJ. The rebuilding aid is what I am talking about, and that won’t be reduced by Romney when he is in charge on Jan 22. Don’t be a DUmmie. If they are starving and freezing, Obama isnt doing such a good job, is he? Maybe Christie should have been asking Obama to do his job instead of kissing ass. As some other poster said, he gave a standing ovation before watching the show.

“I have been wondering why someone from Romney’s campaign was talking to Huffpo the night before the election.”

False information for the enemy. It’s like telling your boss you are going to the warehouse when you are really heading to accounting to talk to the hot chick.

They’re starving and freezing, some of ‘em. Some things transcend politics, FRiend.

Huh.

And yet, my Dad's power, my mother-in-law's power, and my sister's power just came back on yesterday, and Tom Corbett was not out kissing 0bama's ass. And as a matter of fact, neither was Michael Bloomberg, complete left-wing tool that he is.

Christie's actions were deliberately taken because he knows perfectly well that once he was shot down for the VP slot, he has ZERO future in Republican politics outside New Jersey.

ZERO.

The Romney ticket was his only get-out-of-joizy-free-card, and it's gone. He had an opportunity to hurt Romney last week, so he took it.

I do note that he could make time in his busy schedule to speak to his has-been, no-talent idol, "The Boss." He also had time to cry about it, and to gush to reporters about how wonderful it was.

But some things transcend politics.

You’re a numbers guy, as I recall. Logical, not emotional.

So I’m sure you have evidence that Christie was rejected for the VP pick. Please produce it.

You know, I’m not defending what Christie did; it pisses me off too. I never want to see him anywhere near another (R) ticket. But I am trying to put myself in a governor’s shoes, with a bunch of his state hurting. So sue me. But don’t be a dickhead about it.

Dont argue like one then. Helping Obama win elections does not transcend politics, it destroys this country. Nothing is higher priority than ridding us of that plague in the White House. Defending Christie for”humping Obama’s leg” does not make one a FRiend of mine, and you sure do protesteth.

Mort Zuckerman on McLaughlin Group said with certainty that Christie was miffed with Romney’s VP selection process.
