Re-elected Obama would push quickly for fiscal deal: party aides

(Reuters) - If President Barack Obama wins re-election, he's expected to move quickly, perhaps within a day, to renew his bid for a bipartisan deal to avert a "fiscal cliff" that threatens to push the United States into recession, top Senate Democratic aides said on Monday.

A victorious Obama could reach out to Republicans as early as Wednesday and pledge that, with the election decided, it's time to find common ground to deal with the year-end expiration of Bush-era tax cuts and the launch of automatic spending cuts that would suck $600 billion out of the economy in 2013.

"He wants to get the process started immediately," one aide said. "We could move quickly," another aide said, explaining that the basic ingredients of any deal - increased tax revenues coupled with cuts in entitlement programs - have been debated thoroughly for the past two years.

"Everyone knows what needs to be done," he said.

I advise him to jump off any cliff higher than a thousand feet.

He could sell tickets enough to avoid the whole fiscal one.

I think we all know what the “deal” would be.

Raise taxes through the roof and further gut the military.

Pray that at least another 1% of our country comes to their senses tomorrow and puts this election beyond the margin of fraud.

And, if he doesn't win re-election, what's he going to do? Just say "piss on it" and start packing for Hawaii?

In Europe your typical parliamentary democracy would have an election, and then members who'd voted against or for a policy favored by the new government would be asked to step down and by-elections would be held to fill those seats with MPs more in line with their own party.

Romney would be well-advised to ask the former Republican House and Senate leadership team to step down, along with RINOs, even those recently re-elected.

We have had enough of Senator Jeffords type bi-partisan reacharounds, and Mitt has to get with the picture.

As far as I can tell Real Republicans, Fiscal Conservatives, Social Conservatives, and others along that line did not give a single vote to Romney for him to waste it on bi-partisan wastreling ~ just didn't do it. He has to learn quickly he's been elected to flush the Obama years down the sewer and get to work on the jobs issue. The Democrats are not and cannot be part of any generalized improvement program. Just freeze them out of public debate for the next 4 years. They had their chance.

If he wins, I hope the Republicans PUBLICLY state that the American people voted for this and allow for the previous O’Bumbler plans to go through, including sequestration. They wanted it, they can suck on it. NO BENDING!

“Push for. . .?!”

Try, “roll over”

he’ll see and work with congress even less than he’s done in the past 4 years, which is minimal.

When was the last time he’s been seen with Mooch or Biden? When did he have a security brief with intelligence?

He’ll take an electio as a mandate regardless of the numbers and he will be like a bull in a porcelain boutique.

He’ll cancel Christmas and THEN take measures to demoralize us.

Desperation time at Camp Obozo. This is being floated BECAUSE the Obozo camp knows they are in trouble, and are trying to manipulate voters at the 11th hour. I certainly hope this smoke screen is seen as just that. IF Obozo does win reelection, a bi-partisan deal will be the LAST thing anyone sees from a second term.
