Chicago Source: Obama Campaign Planning to Proclaim Early Victory to ‘Demoralize Romney Supporters’
The Blaze ^ | November 5, 2012 | Jason Howerton

Posted on 11/05/2012 10:19:33 AM PST by GonzoII

New York Times best-selling author Brad Thor, based in Chicago, tells TheBlaze that the Obama campaign may be planning to preemptively announce victory in the presidential election based on early voting numbers in an attempt to “demoralize Mitt Romney supporters.”

Citing a “very solid source” in Chicago, Thor says the Obama campaign is looking to make it appear to voters that they have “this thing sewed up and are less than 24 hours to victory,” according to his source.

Meanwhile, team Obama will also urge voters to get out and vote so they can say they were part of the important 2012 election that resulted in a second term for Obama.

While Thor can’t reveal his source, he told TheBlaze multiple times that the source is very reliable.

The flip side of the coin, the author explained, is that the Obama campaign is counting on the mainstream media to drive home their narrative should they implement this strategy.

“They are so invested in Obama,” Thor said of the media. “I don’t see how any truth loving person could look to the mainstream media ever again. This election should be the final nail in the coffin with the mainstream media.”

Why would the campaign resort to such a Chicago-style political tactic? According to Thor, it’s because their support is diminished across the board and they know they’re in trouble.

“Their support is down,” he told TheBlaze. “All the polling has been the exact same thing. They have been oversampling Democrats, and they are not getting the 2008 levels of voting.”

Whether or not the Obama campaign will set this plan into motion remains to be seen. As Thor points out, the plot could have been brought up but never considered seriously by the top officials in the campaign. If it is being considered though, the author hopes that all the attention forces the Obama camp to ditch the effort.

Speaking of John F’n Kerry -

A Madison TV station estimated the crowd at the Obama event today at 16,000 two hours ago. Then an hour ago, Madison Police stated it was 16,000. A short time ago, Capitol Police say no more than 10,000 for Obama. (There were 10k tickets available and OFA is still trying to get people into the event)

In 2004, four days before the election, Kerry drew a crowd estimated at 80,000: http://www.commondreams.org/headlines04/1029-03.htm

Anyone see a trend here?

Why would they do that unless it’s a desperate last-gasp attempt to influence turnouts?

Its plan B for when the lose the election.

Start an Obama won expectation that when they lose turns into riots across America. While all that is going down, they can send the finders of votes to wherever the votes were closest that will illegally put his number over the top.

Obama’s perspective is a scorched earth plan that if he can’t have America, then nobody will.

Hope and Change have come full circle to Envy and Revenge.

Marx would b e soooo proud!!!

dems are desperate and unaware of their lack of ability to influence the outcome via fraud and lies.

The campaign making an early call is meaningless and the networks have been burnt trying to play that role in the past. Calling Florida wrong and early.

Too much alternate information out there today, for MSM to believe they have that power at the last minute.

Also, Republicans are much more motivated than in the past close elections.

In the year of 2000 AD the media called the election and FL for Gore even though the polls were still open here.

I guaranteee the left and yes the media which are the same will certainly try and call it for obama thus trying to make republicans soar losers

REMEMBER THE NEXT PRESIDENT WILL BE PLACING JUDGES

I hope you're not counting FR as a source of that "alternate information" on election day/night, as it will probably slow down to a crawl, as it has in the past, during important events.

Both sides in WWII tried bombing the civilian population into a pit of demoralization.

It didn’t work the and it won’t now for the same reason, people get their backs up and carry on.

They with their media pals wil try and call this early, then say the GOP is trying to supress the black vote and then have rits and anger.

Lets put it this way, if obama was a white guy what is the betting that VA, FL ,OH woudl nto be called swing states?

The black community sees color, OK most of them do and sadly they use their racism towards whites to push their view and the media praises them and praises how these are now swing states

MSNBC is already doing this. They are discussing what Ryan's role will be and how influential he will be after the election.

They are claiming that the Ryan camp is already creating distance from Romney to preserve Ryan's influence after the election.

Ask Thomas Dewey or Dianne Byrum about premature victory declarations. President Truman and Mike Rogers have something to say about that.

Vamps are not so easy to nail in.

I believe it takes a stake through the heart ..... a Romney win would be a start.

In all seriousness, FOX News reporting election officials in Ohio reporting massive voter fraud.

Like 13 names registered to one empty lot somewhere in Ohio.

If voter integrity has broken down this bad, I am not looking for Ohio to ever be in our camp again.

Very depressing.

Let’s hope the people in that part of FL learned their lesson. If you know anyone who lives there, tell them to go vote and take their friends and family with them, no matter what the talking heads on TV say about the results.

" Dems already know they lost, demoralizing GOP voters is their last chance "

I don't know, after seeing the Tea Party response in 2009 and the Chick fil a turn out this past summer... this will have just the opposite effect... it WILL galvanize Republican voters to get out and vote.
