The Tea Party's Moment

The president who famously embraced the “Occupy” movement, closed his re-election campaign this weekend by sneering at the Tea Party.

After failing to mention the Tea Party by name on the stump in 2012, President Barack Obama mentioned the movement during at least five stump speeches on Thursday and Friday.

Noted Politico: At three events Thursday and two on Friday, Obama said that Romney is “pledging to rubber-stamp the tea party agenda in Congress.”

“That’s not change,” he added at a high school gymnasium here. “That’s what we need to change.”

Perhaps this explains the president’s comment to admirers that “voting “is the best revenge.” He might have been referring to the Tea Party, since they have obviously been much on his mind.

And understandably so.

Charlie Sykes is the “other” conservative talker from Milwaukee. Mark Belling has been in the business longer and has substituted for Rush a number of times so you probably know him. Sykes has a great show - just not the name recognition that Belling has.

The T.E.A.-vangelical crowd had been a sleeping giant, composed of folks who were apolitical, for the most part, but now they are wakened, and they are waxing wroth.

That image projected in 2008 of Obama as being the Messiah, has faded and fallen into tatters today, and these people feel cheated and badly used.

Promises made, and either not kept, or executed in a faulty manner which benefits nobody, are bad news for Obama. In the next 24 hours, not likely to get better.

Just can’t wait to vote the R-rats in order to keep the D-rats out of power. If Romney gets in we’ll have to fight his wishy washy leadership !
