If you’re one of many who are currently unemployed, you may be in luck.

According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, one area real estate company is willing to invest thousands to create new job opportunities.

However, there is a catch.

Frank Duffy of Duffy Realty says he will only create the jobs if Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney wins this Tuesday’s election.

“.....otherwise, I’ll be laying people off since there is no chance the economy is going to grow under another Obama term.” That’s the part the owner should have added.

Employers should let it be known that they do not have to scrimp and worry and go broke keeping Obama-supporting employees on their payrolls. Their voting for Obama is truly a case of “biting the hand that feeds you.”

Somewhat hollow offer by this business owner.

Most real estate agents work as commission-only, independent contractors and do not receive a paycheck. Occasionally, new agents may receive an advance towards their first sale/commission, but that is not usually the case. Most “first” sales don’t happen for months after starting.

However, In the business owner’s defense, he will be putting money into the process...office space/equipment/supplies, advertising, utilities, training, management, licensing, membership fees.

Well wishes to him for taking a stand.

+1,000,000

I have a family member who is a CPA and he deals with this all the time. Nobody is expanding their business right now when they hit Obamacare regulatory ceilings, etc. The economy will be devastated if the Kenyan wins tomorrow.

I work in commercial real estate in our small city. I have had two buyers tell me that they will not expand and not lease bigger office space if the zero wins. They are waiting until after the election to hire.

I am in real estate mgmt, primarily properties I own. In response to what's been happening the last 4 yrs I dropped all our employees and those we kept have become independent contractors. In addition, all most all the work we used to contract out for we have begun doing internally. Also, we've begun looking at investments outside the USA.

Why socialist think I'm going to let them take everything I've spent my life building is beyond me. I'm just a small business, but I know a lot of people I started with who have been doing the same thing.

Funny you would mention that. My wife and I declared we'd never buy another Chevy until Obama was out of office. This weekend we went out looking at new cars and, while I've never owned a Ford, we went there first and I loved their product. I told the salesman the main reason we'd purchase a Ford is because they didn't take my tax dollars in the stimulus. He said many people had offered that sentiment when buying a new Ford.

We are holding off on purchasing a third car (for our son) until after the election. If Romney wins we will get the car, if Obama wins we will not purchase the car.

My husband and I were talking to our banker today. She said she’s holding off buying a car. She also said many small business owners are in the same boat we are in. Either freezing or cutting back on labor, freezing any expansion, and/or not making any personal purchases in fear of Obama getting re-elected.
