The Worst News from Benghazi
American Thinker ^ | November 5, 2012 | James Lewis

It is now apparent that the president of the United States countermanded standing Pentagon orders to help American personnel under attack. Ambassador Stevens and three others were left to die without AC-130 Spectres and rescue teams that are always on standby in the Africom theater. Only the White House could have countermanded those standing orders, and we know that POTUS had an emergency meeting with Panetta and Hillary within 55 minutes of the start of the attack. AFRICOM's General Carter F. Ham was fired -- presumably for wanting to rescue the Americans under fire.

Ambassador Stevens and his people were left to die to protect a deep-cover NSC-CIA operation. But what could be so important that 32 Americans had to be abandoned to the mercy of al-Qaeda? Benghazi was a major gun-running operation, funneling armaments from the crushed Libyan regime of Moammar Gaddafi to rebel forces opposing Syria's Assad. Ambassador Stevens was negotiating with a whole Star Wars barroom thug collection of bad actors, a reported ten different jihadist militias operating in Benghazi.

The most damning Benghazi revelation is the Obama policy that led to the disaster: Obama's four-year policy of secretly supporting violent Islamists against civilized Muslims, like Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak, and modern-minded people in countries like Turkey and Iran. We used to support moderate Muslims until Obama took over; now we support our deadly enemies. In Benghazi, some of those gangster types turned against us, tore the cover off the operation, burned out Ambassador Stevens, and killed American defenders with mortar fire. Our defenders had the AQIM mortar crew laser-marked for jet bombers and gunships that never showed up.

We now have four solid years of Obama administration support for radical jihadi movements against the modern world. The United States has abandoned any moral basis for its...

No wonder the MSM doesn’t want the public to know about this!

According to Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-UT03, General Ham was still very much in command, as of 1 October, when the two of them traveled together from AFRICOM HQ in Stuttgart to Libya.

Ambassador Stevens and three others were left to die ...

Actually 41 people were left to die. 37 made it out alive because two former SEALs gave their lives to defend them.

--------------------------------------------------------

Only the POTUS had the authority to act!

0bama was notified immediately and automatically when the Benghazi consulate triggered the "Imminent Danger Notification System" alert. He did nothing.

Judge Jeanine Investigates Benghazi Gate Part 4 - 10/20/2012 video 6:53
Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer (U.S. Army ret.), former CIA Station Chief Gary Berntsen and former CIA operative Mike Baker

They confirm everything Col. Hunt said about automatic notifications to the WH and add more details.

There are three scandals here...

---------------------------------------------------------

Denial of requests for security were a dereliction of duty. The lies and misdirection about the "video" after the attack were fraud and malfeasance under the color of authority. The inaction during the attack was something more than that.

The failure to act during the attack is the direct equivalent of desertion IMO.

ONE man had the authority to act that night.

ONE man deserted his post!

0bama was MIA. 0bama Is A Deserter!

Herridge On Cable Month Before Benghazi Attack: "Smoking Gun Warning Here"

There was no surprise about the attack. There was no 'failure of intel.' The attack was predicted in precise detail a month before it occurred. The draw down of security had to be intentional.

CIA Sources: Obama ordered military not to help Ambassador Stevens

The failure to approve a rescue had to be intentional.

Sources: Key task force not convened during Benghazi consulate attack

Keeping the Counterterrorism Security Group (CSG) in the dark about the attack had to be intentional.

Tweeting apologies for the 'anti-Muhammed video' beginning early that morning, repeatedly blaming all the violence at all of our embassies on the 'video' and making an apology video to air in Pakistan had to be intentional.

Stevens presence in Benghazi on 9-11 had to be intentional.

It’s Carter and Iran times 5. Carter wanted the Shah of Iran pulled down too. When the pitfalls were brought to his attention, he shrugged it off, saying that the Ayatollah was a religious man, so he was sure we could come to reasonable understanding.

Course, if you believe Ollie North, Carter wanted the Shah to breach his contract with British Company for oil, cause he wanted his buddies to have the contract. Shah didn’t want to. Carter helped make sure the Shah was deposed.

Probably the biggest scandal is that Obama was funneling guns to Al-Qaeda operatives. That’s right, he was aiding and abetting the enemy. That, I think, is the biggest thing he didn’t want to have come out.

The entire ‘Arab Spring’ was orchestrated by Obama’s team, and it has largely been the reassembling of the caliphate under the AQ-allied, jihadist, Muslim Brotherhood.

I never heard about the oil, but the US was building a huge network of docks, locks and I think dams for the Shah. Some of Carter’s buddies showed up, uninvited and tried to take over the project for a cut of US aid. Shah said ‘No. Work has been contracted out.’ Buddies said they wanted a cut of the aid (No Show payments). Shah threw them out of the country. Carter began to depose him at that time.

that is pretty idiotic that the same website posts an article about Ham being fired but yet earlier in the week posted an article saying that is a rumor. Get it together.

Um, the quote you asked for a link to from the “idiot child” (”AFRICOM’s General Carter F. Ham was fired — presumably for wanting to rescue the Americans under fire.”) is a direct quote from the linked article...

Only to point this out...but coverage of Syria stopped almost entirely around the same time that this episode unfolded. CNN used to have tons of live video feed from Syria’s little war. I haven’t seen anything much in two months now.
