NOVEMBER 4, 2012 As Ohio Counts, So Waits the Nation A Bloody Recount Battle May Be In Store This Election. By John Fund

Cincinnati, Ohio — If the presidential election goes into “overtime” — if no winner is known on Wednesday morning after the election — the culprits may be procrastinating absentee voters in Ohio. If it goes on beyond that with no decision, it may be due to lawyers from both parties’ fighting trench warfare over individual ballots in a bloody recount. It could easily happen in other states, but the danger of an “overtime” election is perhaps greatest in Ohio.

This year for the first time, Ohio officials mailed every registered voter in the state an application for an absentee ballot. A total of 1.3 million applications flooded in, and to date some 1.1 million, or 85 percent, have been returned. But many of the rest won’t be mailed before the election. So what if the voters who failed to send in their absentee ballots show up at their polling places on Tuesday asking to vote?

They will be allowed to, but only by provisional ballot in order to make sure they don’t vote twice.

Other people will have to cast provisional ballots — those who have changed their names or moved but not sent in a change of address, or those who have registered just prior to the deadline this year but whose names don’t show up on local precinct lists. There will also be people trying to vote who aren’t eligible — because they didn’t register in time or don’t have even a non-photo form of ID. By law, none of those provisional ballots can be opened and counted for ten days — until November 17.

Voters have those ten days to contact....

It is not going to come down to Ohio, and Ohio won’t need recounts.

I see lots of hanging chads in the future. This could make 2000 in Florida look like a walk in the park.

I don't need to win big. I just have to get close enough to start the recounts and get into court. Once that happens, we're home free.

Won’t be that close.

We’ll know Tuesday night. The USA has gasped for air, and has fought to the surface.

We will be in place for the final showdown.

The Patriots have seen to that, by the Grace of God.

CNN just said Romney is up 20 among independents. If that holds it will be a blowout.

Or it may not. Obama will win unless he doesn’t. The polls are correct except where they are wrong. Pundits have great insight except when they don’t.

BO looked so tired today that the evil was coming through. Thought he was going to start spinning and spewing pea soup.

He might be relieved to be finished. Algore had 4 years of rest behind him and plenty of hair gel.

BO has whitening hair, a great hurdle with a dead ambassador scandal and the military none too pleased with him and a wacky VP with whom he hasn’t been seen in 4 years.

He’s reviving “Clinton the Disgraced”, he has no other friends nor backers - not counting the media hounds.

I don’t know. I just don’t sense the motivation or energy from any central point in that campaign.

anyway, it might be a super blowout. There is that chance. We cna’t ftake a recount.

He’s got “Christie the Needy” in his camp now, assuring Jersey, apparently THAT’S in play, now, neccesitating cheating EMAIL BALLOTS?!

The only Jersey-ans voting will be unpredictable. a quarter of them ore in Conn or NY staying with family that has 1/2 and 1/4 tanks of gas. Yeah, they’re going to the shore on tuesday so Aunt Rose can cast a ballot for OBIE not a chance.

The others aren’t going to care. Geeze, they haven’t even had TV for a week. They’r just getting power, and, as I expected, they’re listening to talk radio they have nothing else. They’re not at work and they’re

Just some musings from what I heard today.

Why the hell do we have “early voting” (voter fraud) if it still takes the morons a month to count the votes? No wonder the damn unemployment numbers are all screwed up. The commie ‘RATS can’t count. They need to take their @$$e$ back to Sesame Street and learn a little math.

Some of these polls are weighted as much as Dem +11. That’s just nuts.

Who in their right mind would send mail-in ballots to people that have not requested them?!

It might be bloody if not for the fact that Romney will win at least 350 electoral votes. The composite man in this country can’t wait for Obama to move to seclusion in Hawaii.
