Well, at least they won’t die from drinking 32 oz. sugary drinks, too much salt, smoking cigarettes, or too many calories .... they’ll just freeze or starve to death, but really healthily!!!!

I prefer sleeping in a cold room and turn the heat off at night. It can get down to mid 40s when the outside temperature goes down to the teens.

Well said.... I have been waiting to hear anyone on TV say this. Generators to stations with gas but no power; tanker trucks to gas stations with power but out of gas. I heard the gas cannot come from out-of-state due to different gas formulations Has anyone heard this?

No, this is not worse than Katrina. This is not even close to Katrina. I would have traded placed with these pitiful spoiled crybabies in a heartbeat. I routinely let my home go down to the 50s. I happily go to bed with my house in the 40s. If you want to talk uninhabitable, try a month with no power, with temperatures in the 90s. Try an environment in which there’s no power anywhere for miles. Try an environment in which uninhabitable housing units number in the hundreds of thousands, where there are no friends or family you can move in on closer than 100 miles.

I am fine with obama being hung with this storm, but let’s not kid ourselves.

And don’t most people have at least one sleeping bag in the house?”

We have a whole closet full of sleeping bags and cold weather gear, but we go camping and sometimes it gets mighty cold at night. Our tooth paste has frozen but we are always warm and toasty. Everyone I know has a gas or wood fireplace, a gas grill and a gas stove. Seems like they live in an entirely different world.

Prayers for all the victims of these storms. God watch over them and please restore their lives and keep them safe as they suffer through all the devastation!

I have been without power since last Monday. Wood burning stove is awesome.

But then he's have those strange scars behind his ears, just like Obama...

While it was initially a union said / worker said, the union contract someone produced and posting online cinched it. Unions made themselves more important than those they served.
