Mainstream media are living in fantasyland if they think theyre going to get away with the shameless stream of lies and deceit propagated on behalf of their anointed one: Barack Hussein Obama (mmm mmm mmm). There is a comeuppance, a reckoning if you will, heading for you elitist journoliars after the smoke clears from this election.
word UP
Most MSM employees are skid marks on Journalism’s shorts.
I’ve been saying for a while now, if there’s any bright spot to the Obama Administration, it’s that even in polite conversation the Main Stream Media will have all the credibility of supermarket tabloids.
So once again, what's your plan?
They no longer have ethics or morality to appeal to.
Fox can't change them because as we have seen, even when Fox has credible and important news such as Benghazi, it is blacklisted by the other networks.
I don't know the answer.
It doesn’t seem to be hurting them any, not that you would notice anyway. They all look well fed, seem to command high salaries. Their stockholders may be taking it in the shorts, but unfortunately the personalities feeding us all this crap seem to be doing well enough. They seem to have plenty of advertisers. You would think free market forces would be putting some pressure on what the MSM produces.
CLAM, (Censoring Liberal Agenda Media), Corporations such as MSNBC and ABC have been caught in a Collusion Agreement with the White House to fix the National Election, by boycotting reports of the Cowardly actions of Benghazi-Coward Obama.
Why any California voter would chose to vote for proven Coward Obama is beyond me.
Tea Party Patriots protested CNN at their headquarters in downtown Atlanta in 2009 or 2010 (can’t remember which year)—I was there protesting.
MY sign in the protest said: “You won’t see THIS on CNN!”
and...you didn’t.
The MSM needs to be pulled out by their very ROOTS, ridiculed, SUED, and punished for their treasonous works.
Harry Potter is one of them too?!!!
Yoo mus' be racis'...
ANYONE who votes for Obama has the blood of Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods on their hands, just like Obama and his news media does.
I recall the days when cities had multiple newspapers.. liberal, conservative, whatever.
Then TV came along and newspapers started folding (d'oh!) and the "Fairness Doctrine" put radio station owners at risk if they permitted conservative opinion on their stations.
Meanwhile liberals virtually owned the media and William F. Buckley's Firing Line one hour a week on PBS was all the fairness conservatives needed, said many in the Establishment.
Well the Fairness Doctrine is gone, the Internet is here, we have modern talk radio, and freedom of the press is back! and the MSM employees hate it.
“So once again, what’s your plan?”
Boycotting every company that advertises on MSM stations. Ad going to wrte those companies and let them know why.
And that is if Romney wins...
Bump
Every city has their own MSM “talking head” anchor on their local news channel. Usually, they’re held up as some sort of local celebrity.
I once e-mailed one of those “talking head” anchors with a comparison of Katrina survivors demanding cold bottled water with the self sufficient, non-whining victims of the Mid-West’s floods of 2010 (?).
Her response to me?
“Why are you sending me this?”
I don’t think the idiot had a clue.
But my point IS-—contact these cretins; shove their bias in their faces; try to make them think. Don’t just complain about it—take it to the LIARS themselves.
It was probably April 15, 2009. Did you march on to the TEA Party rally at the state capitol? Was Hannity there? If so, that was the date. Otherwise, it was a different event, but a bunch of us FReepers started at Centennial Park in front of CNN, and marched as a group over to the capitol.
Any bets on how soon ABCCBSCNNNBC will start projecting Obummer as winner if he’s ahead in a state ? With 2% of the vote in, 5%?????
the following is intented regardless of who wins.
i have thought many times about how to defeat the msm. and for good reason, they are dangerous.just look at benghazi. four brave americans are dead and they shamelessly ignore it.and it hurts not just the election, but our countries security. can you imagine the shenanegans at the doj that we still havent found out about. and of course, the reason for fast and furious was to build a case for gun control that the msm just loves.
so , i proprose two things. the first is my idea.
a national boycott of any business that advertises on the networks (just for kicks lets not include msnbc because they are so small and we can watch them meltdwon).
its simple, if you advertise, we’ll buy from someone else.
and the second is, lets have people brainstorm other ideas and see what we come up with. i’m new here, but any of the veterans here that find this intriguing, you can do your binging and bumping.
” - - - - Yoo mus’ be racis’...”
Might be?
I had NOT thought about it, but maybe there is such a thing as the “Coward” Sub-Tribe in Kenya. I’ll Google it and get back to you.
Wow! What a revelation this would be if I turned out to be “racis’ “ !
All the while I thought that I was just part of the vast right-wing conspiracy who does not like Obama because he is an illegal alien, is arrogant, has no personal documents such a school records, Social Security Card, Selective Service Card, is incompetent, ignorant of Finance and Business, a compulsive liar, a coward, intent on regulating, controlling and destroying all American institutions and values -———.
Say, old buddy, old pal, hate to do this, but I’ve got a cramp now in both wrists. May I continue this reply to you when my wrists heal?
Local network affiliate stations are the “firewall” insulating the MSM.
A few thoughts:
We have plenty of blogs and news sites that cater to the converted. We need more conservative controlled media outlets that reach non-conservative and low information voters. They need to be “unbiased” in the same way the Mainstream Media is “unbiased.” Mostly straight news....Sub text is much more powerful than text.
I would guess that more people get their news from TMZ and other infotainment sources than from any “real” news source. Weather, sports, health, and the doings of celebrity vermin are more important than politics to 75% of the population. Anything that gets impressionable eyeballs on our message is a win.
Humor and entertainment are much more effective at relating information than dull news reports. A hilarious YouTube video can get hundreds of thousands to millions of views. That’s more people than watch many news programs and someone watching a video on YouTube is likely more influenceable than an opinionated news junkie that watches a talk show on CNN.
The internet is still destroying the traditional media outlets and lowering the cost of entry. Romney will raise a billion dollars or more for this campaign. If 20% of that much had been raised and spent on giving us a louder voice in the media it would have delivered more results than all the god-awful commercials being aired. Come on Koch brothers, open your wallets....
The internet has a huge hole: Local news. This is what people are most interested in. It is also one of the the richest advertising prizes. This is still an almost totally untapped market that could deliver big results if we made it a priority.
There have been several FReepers that have nailed big names in the media and taken them to the trash heap.. Of course Dan Rather, was the really BIG FISH, but there have been others..
They were more like Minnows, like the time we ganged up on Oberblubber, MSNBS Loudmouth, and got him to shoot off his mouth on TeeVee, and show his thin skin.. That lead to others poke at him, and eventually kicked off.. HA!
We weren’t really trying.. I say we pick these morons off one at a time, and research the Hell out of them until we find their scabs, they all have them.. Most have been so secure they didn’t even try to hide.. Like donating or meeting, and dinners at campaign parties for political fundraisers.. Stuff like that, is a big No NO, lets take them DOWN!!!
How do we turn the tables and threaten to pull an FCC license when the MSM actually actively prevents news from being covered, or purposely falsifies the news, because of private motivations?
-PJ
Ditto.
Just joined!
I think you are on to something.. I suggest the Local News anchors are as liberal as the big nets, but have a more freedom to pass along their biases to direct consumers in local markets..
Lets lead some organized badgering of their stations and advertisers until they stop out of fear of losing their jobs, or fired.. The left does it all of the time.. I say fair play, I am sick to Hell over the way they covered for this despot..
Yes, they certainly are going to get away with it! They were lying in 1992 and covering up for reprobate Bill Clinton, supressing all coverage of Whitewater, Arkansas State Troopers, etc.
They pulled a big stunt with Bush’s forged national guard papers, dui at the last minite etc.
They can do anything the want to.
Exactly, one at a time. Pick the loudmouth liar who is most vulnerable. Attack their weakness and harangue their sponsors. Threaten boycotts. Only the liars and race baiters, nothing wrong with a fair fighter.
Find the bars they frequent and confront them. Most are spineless wimps.
Exactly, One by ONE.. I am pissed, I will not take this anymore, if we win or not, I want to punish these turkeys..
Lets get Tuesday out of the way.. Then we’ll get a few of our great FReepers and take these bas#ards out!!
Local TV stations would probably be MUCH more susceptible to pressure than big national media outlets. Notice that nothing negative is ever reported about car dealers on the local news shows- they are one of the biggest advertising cash cows and get VIP treatment. Same for newspapers and real estate companies. Get them to exert influence and it will be listened to.
Its better to wait until the local media does something monumentally stupid that real does offend 90% or the population and then beat them over the head with that.
More important than putting the existing media’s feet to the fire is establishing media outlets that reach the same audience under OUR control. If Bengazi had happened under a Republican administration it would have been trumpeted 24/7 until the the GOP prez was destroyed. This is a cultural civil war we are fighting and we need to build the media weapons to fight back on even terms.
We also need to try to undermine Hollywood’s revenue base. This is why conservatives should support VERY radical ideas about copyright reform. The Digital Millennium Copyright Act was one of Bush’s biggest mistakes. Napster was the best friend we ever had and we didn’t know it. The mass media is the ultimate source of much of the rot that is consuming our society. Taking away 90% of its profits would have been a gigantic win. Like blowing up the death star....
If George Cloney and Cher are homeless and pushing shopping carts down a back alley in LA they wouldn’t have much time left for politics.
I’m a bit old now, and going under the knife again very soon, so I’ll have a lot of time to do the research and some strategic stuff.. I’ll let you youngins do the front things.. I was active in major enterprises, so I can help get it started..
Seems to me like they are doing just fine! I don’t see anyone stopping them.
I love the idea of starting at the local level, and hone our game plan, then move up the ladder.. This is how big things happen, idea, plan, action! Ground rules meetings, after the big win...Bookmark!
Who wants to go to gay bars to find them?
Close, but I really think you're looking at the picture of Rachel Madcow..
But I have been wrong before ;-)
Good one!
I predict they will predict some states and then be forced to backtrack them later.
Dude, check fire. We’re in the same foxhole. I just didn’t pull the pin on the /sarc grenade.
I wonder if a class-action lawsuit would work - on behalf of the American people. In the olden days, journalism was about “the people’s right to know.” It was “who, what, where, when, and how.” The so-called “journalists” are not providing facts, they are providing opinions. Therefore, they are guilty of false advertising when they present themselves as “journalists” and not “editors” (as in broadcasting editorial opinions instead of actual news). That used to be a real no-no, at least at local news stations. I know now that Walter Cronkite was guilty of very biased reporting, so “journalists” have not always practiced what they preached in “journalism” school.
The problems with local news are originating with the station management, not the anchors and reporters. The producers usually have the final say as to what gets on the air, because they are following the guidelines of the station management. If a reporter wants to report on a story, it will never see airtime if the producer will not put it in the line-up. In addition, if the assignment editor assigns another story to the reporter, the reporter will not have the time, resources, camera-person or editor available to get the story produced. There is also the problem of the local station management usually following the directives of the network management. The local affiliates are not always autonomous, although they would argue that they are.
Focusing on the networks will probably get more traction and more results.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I know that we are in the same foxhole, and I was tossing plenty of ammo to you to use as you see fit.
‘Tis all good...
