Obama's lead shrinks in poll of Maine voters

PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney cut into President Barack Obama's lead in Maine, and opposition to a ballot question seeking to legalize same-sex marriage grew, according to a new poll of likely voters.
Obama was leading Romney 49 to 42 percent statewide in a poll conducted last week for the Maine Sunday Telegram (http://bit.ly/Xb8jJt). Obama had a 16 percentage-point lead in a mid-September poll.

At the very least this locks our second district single EV in Maine.
- Yesterday's poll that called it 'close' in the 2nd District was a poll weighted by State-Wide Registration Rolls, rather than 2nd district weighted rolls - probably worth 2 or 3 points.
- The numbers from the article above now put it over the top (qualitatively if not quantitatively.)
I hereby formally announce our donation of more than zero EV's to the cause ... and yes, I did think about the phrasing of that which we will donate :-)
