Desperate drivers turned away from free government gas trucks in New York

More New Yorkers got power Saturday for the first time since Superstorm Sandy struck the region, but frustrations mounted over gasoline shortages as refueling sites turned into traffic jams of horn-honking confusion.

Gas rationing went into effect in northern New Jersey, while crowds lined up at free fuel distribution sites in New York's boroughs, where a limit of 10 gallons per person was imposed. New York officials then said emergency vehicles like fire trucks and police patrol cars had the priority over the public.

At the Elizabeth Armory in Staten Island, more than one thousand people lined up in homes to get fuel to heat their homes as a winter chill set in over the storm-ravaged city. Tempers flared, and a fight broke out that had to be broken up by national guardsmen.

But, the media was celebrating a couple of days ago, praising Obama’s handling of a major disaster. They compared and contrasted with Bush and Katrina.

What happened? Are things unraveling in New York/New Jersey?

If everything that happened in New Orleans was Bush’s fault, is everything now happening Obama’s fault?

Or, are only Republican presidents blamed when there are problems with disaster relief, while good Democrats get a pass????????

That many people in that close proximity to each other will not fare well in a surprise permanent campout.

They may start eating each other more frequently than usual shortly.

This is going to turn into a classic government cluster-****.

I wonder if the American media will cover it. I wonder if they’ll make the connection between ObamaFuel and ObamaCare.

Oh, what am I talking about? Never happen in a million years.

How long did it take before the Dems started calling Bush a failure over Katrina. I seem to remember Little Chucky Schumer and John (I was in Vietnam) Kerry moaning day and night about George W and Brownie's failure a couple of days after the flooding started. If Bush was such a great failure mostly because of his hatred of blacks. Barack Hussein must hate everyone you cant find a more ethnically diverse area than those hit by these storms. Its time for someone to dig up footage of the New York and New Jersey delegations calling out Bush. Maybe Tomorrow they will call Barack out.

Like Katrina, this has got to be Bush’s fault.

Unlike the rest of the nation, which uses natural gas, A LOT of people in the Northeast heat their homes with heating oil, delivered to their homes 2 or 3 times per season and stored in tanks for that purpose.

Just listened to an audio of Hannity’s show on the Daily Caller of a union worker cussing out volunteers, calling them scabs taking his job and to go home. Hopefully some of those people needing help will hear about this and reconsider voting for Dems.

Ah, but thanks to Mayor Bloomberg (I-Short), New Yorkers aren't allowed to use salt or wash it down with a Big Gulp soda.

Just as soon as Romney is elected, he should jump right in and begin organizing the private sector participation in the relief effect, bypassing Gubmint and leading the recovery, with a big emphasis on “F” Obama.

They have shown their true colors, and it is the deepest of black!
