The Ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were murdered September 11 in Benghazi. That we know. But too little else about what took place before, during and after the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission is clear.
The White House says Republicans are "politicizing" a tragedy. Politicians politicize, yes, but part of their job is to hold other politicians accountable. The Administration has made that difficult by offering evasive, inconsistent and conflicting accounts about one of the most serious American overseas defeats in recent years. Unresolved questions about Benghazi loom over this election because the White House has failed to resolve them.

From the start of the Libyan uprising in early 2011, the Central Intelligence Agency built up an unusually large presence in Benghazi. By this September, two dozen or so operatives and contractors monitored Ansar al-Shariah and other militant groups. Deteriorating security after the war was no secret. U.S. intelligence noted militant camps in the mountains near Benghazi, including "al Qaeda leaning" fighters, according to Tuesday's New York Times.

Late last week, Mr. Obama was twice asked by a local Denver television anchor whether Americans who asked for help in Benghazi were turned down by the chain of command. He didn't answer...

0bama was notified immediately and automatically when the Benghazi consulate triggered the "Imminent Danger Notification System" alert. He did nothing.

Denial of requests for security were a dereliction of duty. The lies and misdirection about the "video" after the attack were fraud and malfeasance under the color of authority. The inaction during the attack was something more than that.
The failure to act during the attack is the direct equivalent of desertion IMO.
ONE man had the authority to act that night.
ONE man deserted his post!

The ‘video did it’ excuse was already in place for Stevens’ planned kidnapping. 0bama decided to stick with that narrative.

What you do is pull your office help out first... under cover of your security forces.. The security forces have been trained to fight their out of dangerous places.. and can if need be.. with tactical support..
WHAT HAPPENED WAS....
Zeros team of prat fall artists.. pulled the security forces out FIRST and then expected the office help to fight their way out of a dangerous situation... or surrender to kidnap forces.. or both..
Maybe Zero wanted them kidnapped, maybe not..
The SEAL that saved 30 of them was the fly in the ointment..
What happened to them(office help), are they being secured out of the country so they cannot testify?..
Or being intimidated to SHUT UP about it?..

Does 0bama still enjoy ANY confidence from the military?
It might be useful to search for any deals Obama thought he had in place based on his overthrow of Qaddafi, handover of arms to the "freedom fighters", and steadfast insistence that Libya is now safer than before those conscious acts.
Personally, I think Obama & his minions withheld support (and ignored prior omens) because Himself could not give up the hope that his machinations had worked.

He was not an ambassador.
He was a gun runner and threw in some heavy weapons for good measure. He was arming forces against Assad and violating a whole slew of laws.
Still, Obama let our men die. I hope it comes out but, I’m still waiting for a credible report about a jet that was shot down off the shore of New Jersey
