Murdoch to Christie: Re-declare for Romney or Take Blame if He's Defeated

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will have to carry the blame if Barack Obama wins four more years in the White House, News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch has claimed.

The only way for Christie to redeem himself is by making it clear before Tuesday's election that he supports his fellow Republican, Murdoch tweeted.

He made his comment after congratulating New York City Mayor Michael Bloomerg for calling off the city's marathon on Friday in a tweet.

"Thanks Bloomberg right decision.@Now Christie, while thanking O, must re-declare for Romney, or take blame for next four dire years.”

Some conservatives, including Rush Limbaugh, have slammed Christie for being too fulsome in his praise for Obama so close to the election. They fear it could resonate with voters and help Obama.

Christie, who delivered the keynote speech at the Republican National Convention, was an effective critic of Obama on the campaign trail. He repeatedly praised the president during the Hurricane Sandy ordeal for his leadership.

Limbaugh tore into Christie for his praise of Obama, on his show Thursday.

On Monday, Romney was up 3 with the ball on the 20 yard line with about 2 minutes to go, ready to ice the game.

Christie takes the ball and runs the wrong way, and is tackled. Obama kicks a FG to tie it up. Romney now has the ball with less than a minute to go, all tied up.

We will win. Christie has been cut.

I would just as soon Christie stay miles away from Romney and not even mention Romney’s name. Let that belligerant slob continue to pollute Barack Obama’s image instead.

Am I the only one that thinks that Christie set up Obama knowing that the Feds would fail?

“Judas Christie has alot of splainin’ to do if the communist is reelected.”

Why? It’s Jersey. It’s Democrat and Christies praise was basically Obama blackmail.

Ahhhh.. No one thought about that? Here.. Obama basically tells Christe if he wants the Army Corp of Engineers to have the Jersey shore ready for Memorial Day weekend, which happens to be Jerseys primary source of revenue, Christie better give Barry some props.

Without the revenue from the shore, Jersey will die as well as Christie’s reelection chances. It’s a an for Christie, a win for the people of Jersey and a win for Obama, which by the way doesn’t change a thing about his reelection chances.

My dos centavos.

100% agree with Murdoch.

Chris Christie just John Roberts-ed us.

If Mitt loses, Christie is finished in the Republican Party. Even if Romney wins, I still have zero use for Christie going forward.

This and one look at Christie’s face tells the story: he’s had a mental break-down over the storm damage. Curse him or pity him, he’s done politically.

Fat bag of crap Christie exposed himself as a big govt statist with a big mouth and a gushing fondness for dictators.
I’m glad we found out before we made a big mistake on him.

In case Murdoch missed it, Christie has cast his lot with the commies. It’s a Jersey thing.

I’m getting good at ducking thrown tomatoes on this forum, but once again I’m going to give my viewpoint on this subject. Christie over reacted to the devastation in his home state. I can’t really sit here and say I wouldn’t have done the same thing. It was a scary thing for the residents of NJ.

It doesn’t make a bit of difference to me that Christie kissed O’s butt for the money he probably would have received anyway - because NJ is a blue state and we all know that the blue states get top priority when it comes to relief efforts.

O used Christie - big time. I don’t think Christie thought of it in those terms. I think he wanted the photo op as much as O did - but for different reasons. He wanted the rest of the U.S. to see the disaster that his state was. Sure, the cameras would have paid some homage to it - but he also knew that it would receive priority if the zero was there. So, in essence, I think they used each other.

For all his RINOess - I truly believe that Christie loves his state and said some stupid things for lack of sleep. I actually don’t think this is going to hurt Mitt. I don’t live in NJ and can’t speak for them, however, for them to even elect a Republican governor says something. I imagine that state is as corrupt as Chicago.

Politicians from states like NJ and NY are a different breed. People love their in-your-face type of government officials. They are brash. I actually get a kick out of the way they campaign and say things. I just am thankful I don’t live in one of the true-blue states.

So, I’m giving Christie a pass on this. He did campaign with Mitt previously - so I don’t think his support has waned. His priority right now is to get his state back up and running - and yes - his re-election bid. He knows that NJ will vote for O - so, like I said - they both used each other. Its the nature of politics. And, while O was doing his photo-op - he wasn’t out on the campaign trail trashing Mitt. I also think Christie can take the barbs thrown his way over his groveling.

I suppose I like the saying that says - never judge a man until you walk a mile in his shoes. Like it or not - O is the current president - and hopefully, and prayefully - that will change next Tuesday.

Christie was hoping to get some quick federal money before the election, and he knows that president Romney won’t penalize him afterward. Despite all the dreamy eyed hype from rinoland, Christie won’t be rising any higher in the GOP. Giving Obama’s butt a big wet kiss isn’t going to do Christie any harm. The joke is that it won’t do New Jersey any good. Obama doesn’t care about other people.

In the bigger scheme of things, Christie doesn’t matter.

Here’s what Spankie said when someone told him
the Republican nominee MIGHT be planning a visit to NJ.

http://thehill.com/video/campaign/264853-gov-christie-i-dont-give-a-damn-about-presidential-politics-right-now

“...when asked about reports that the GOP nominee might visit New Jersey to tour damage left in the wake of Sandy.

“I have no idea nor am I the least bit concerned or interested. I’ve got a job to do here in New Jersey that’s much bigger than presidential politics and I could care less about any of that stuff. I have a job to do,” said Christie on “Fox and Friends.”

“I’ve got 2.4 million people out of power. I’ve got devastation on the shore. I’ve got floods in the northern part of my state. If you think right now I give a damn about presidential politics then you don’t know me.”

If I were Romney I tell this fatass SOB where to stick it.
