Obama at FEMA: "We still have a long way to go"
By Lucy Madison/ CBS News/ November 3, 2012, 12:42 PM
President Obama on Saturday acknowledged the nation has "a long way to go" in the aftermath following Superstorm Sandy, but pledged the administration will be putting in a "120 percent effort" to ensure the impacted regions get the assistance they need.
Mr. Obama, speaking after a briefing about ongoing recovery efforts at the FEMA headquarters in Washington, D.C., emphasized his commitment to restoring power, pumping flooded areas, removing debris, and attending to the needs of those impacted by the storm, which ravaged New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut this week. He noted that the military had been called in to help hasten that process.

Is it going to take a second term to get water, gas and electricity to the storm victims? Everything takes a LONG time for Obama.
My experience with liberals ( quite extensive ) is they confuse words with actions. Give a speech, have a meeting, and all is taken care of.
We’ve got an even longer way to go with the union thugs running off the non-union workers who showed up to help.
yeah, we do we send felon ex presidents?
Wasn’t FEMA one of those agencies that requested extreme large amounts of ammo lately?
“Everything takes a LONG time for Obama.”
Hussein is incompetent.
Would this be counted as ‘Community Service’?
Oop’s! forgot... He has already done that...
Meanwhile, the New York City region is going to get cooler.http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/new-york-ny/10007/weekend-weather/349727
Y’all won’t die of hunger or for lack of water. You’ll freeze.

I guess the Kenyan figures, hey its NJ and NY, they will vote for him anyway..he is such a narcissist, he thinks no matter what he will still get those votes..such a prick!
I hope America wakes up to the fake. Zer0 is no leader.
Contact Websters — three days is now “a long way”. Thanks Libloather.
if I dont have this done in three years, then theres going to be a one-term proposition.

I know it would be beneath the smarter than everybody else northeastern Yankees to look at the bitter clinger’s preparations for major coastal events...
With the notice they had we wold have had the entire Texas coast and part of Mexico) evacuated and having tailgate parties in the sanctuary cities.
There would also be rest and gasoline stops along the predefined evacuation routes. Transportation is available for special needs folks... and btw, pets and large animals (e.g. horses) are welcome with facilities waiting.
We would not need FEMA nor their leaders until after every one was safe, fed,and warm (or cool).
Yes , I am one of the people that helps in the evacuations, amateur radio call sign W5VEX (we don’t need no stinkin’ cell phone),and an active player at our county EOC.
One of the problems we had after Hurricane Ike was getting people to return home because of the treatment given, without recourse, by their fellow Texans.
They dd not have to return home until food and shelter was available.
Getting the gasoline and fuel supply’s required a lot of planning and cooperation between state officials and those dastardly oil companies... and that sorry union hating Wall-Mart had the trucks rolling and ready as soon as the storm abated...
I am not even going to try and give credit to all of the faith based organizations that furnished shelter and hundreds of thousands of meals starting day one for the first responders...
I have compassion for the people involved but absolutely no use for the elected leaders that are more concerned about 32 oz. drinks than the real needs of their people...
Please let real leadership and individual responsibility return to this country on Tuesday...
