FBI On ground in Tunisia to interview terror suspect, thanks to Republican Senators
Fox news ^ | November 2, 2012 | Greta van Sustern

As you know, a Tunisian man was seen on the Consulate videotape the day of the attack.  He was arrested a short time later in Turkey at their airport as he tried to pass through with false documents.  The Turkish authorities turned the man over to Tunisia (not the USA for questioning) and the Tunisian government has not let our FBI interview him.  The US has not explained why they could not get access to interview this man.   About 3 nights ago, Senator Lindsey Graham learned of the foregoing and was outraged that we had not interviewed this man.  He got to work writing a letter and making calls. The breaking news is that the FBI is NOW on the ground in Tunisia and will be interviewing this man. The interview will be under Tunisian supervision consistent with Tunisian sovereignty and will meet our country’s investigative needs.   For reasons (unclear) – it took a letter and follow up phone calls from US Senator Lindsey Graham to get permission for the FBI to interview him.  Why the White House and the State Department and the CIA were unable to get the interview for the FBI is very odd and 2 US Senators could get the job done  – perhaps they didn’t try?  or if they did, they didn’t try hard enough?   You can thank the two US Senators.

I can’t believe I’m complimenting Lindsey Graham—but in this instance, he deserves our admiration, I think.

I for one haven’t forgotten that McCain and Graham were cheerleading to get involved in that mess in the first place.

They’ll get no pass from me. They are at least partially responsible.

Three FBI should have no involvement here, or in any battlefield. This is part of the mentality that things like this are crimes. That criminals need to be brought to ‘justice’ and imprisoned.
This was an act of war and it demeans it to treat it like a bank robbery. The only thing that should happen is a vicious and violent attack on stretching that would break utterly moslem hearts.
No crime scene evidence needed.

Why the White House and the State Department and the CIA were unable to get the interview for the FBI ...

It was not a matter of "unable" ..... it was a matter of UNWILLING.

Agreed, this was an act of war. Also, as has been said, ‘What is good for America is bad for the Democrats’.

Megadittoes.

Graham gets no credit from me for perpetuating the law enforcement model of response to acts of war.

We have to remember that every law enforcement agency is under Obama’s control. Just like Jamie Gorelick’s ‘Firewalls between agencies’, Obama’s agencies do not want to find out anything that might make them look like ‘law enforcement Republicans’. That would alienate their base. Then remember that CNN went into the Benghazi ‘Consulate’ before our FBI did. And we were told that the FBI couldn't safely investigate yet. But CNN wasn't afraid (a random act of journalism by CNN). When Romney wins, it will take a monumental effort to rid our Government of all the traitors that Obama and his minions have installed at all levels.
